Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Trieu The Hung, Chairman of Hai Duong Provincial People's Committee emphasized: Hai Duong is a land of spiritual land, talented people, with a long history and culture. The Con Son - Kiep Bac national special relic site is the heart of the sacred land "Chi Linh Bat Co". Here, heaven and earth created a dangerous military position, favorable feng shui. During the Tran Dynasty, National Duke Tran Hung Dao established the Van Kiep headquarters, together with the Tran Dynasty king and his subjects organized an army with the will to fight and win to crush the expansionist intentions of the invading Yuan-Mongol empire.

Duke and Commander Tran Hung Dao's real name was Tran Quoc Tuan (born in 1228), a descendant of the Tran Dynasty's royal family. Since childhood, Tran Quoc Tuan was famous for his handsome appearance, outstanding intelligence, knowledge of the past and present, both literary and martial, and possessing all the good virtues: Humanity, Justice, Propriety, Wisdom, and Trust. Tran Hung Dao was a shining symbol of patriotism and the spirit of fighting for national liberation.

When the Yuan-Mongol army invaded our country, under the talented leadership of Tran Hung Dao, the Tran army and people overcame countless difficulties and challenges, "using the few to fight the many, using the weak to defeat the strong", three times defeating tens of thousands of powerful invaders, achieving resounding victories. The name of Tran Hung Dao is associated with glorious feats of arms in Dong Bo Dau, Ham Tu, Tay Ket, Chuong Duong, Van Kiep, Bach Dang Giang... and will forever be the pride of the Vietnamese people in the history of building and defending the country.

On August 20, Canh Ty year 1300, he passed away at Van Kiep palace. The royal court promoted him as "Grand Master, Supreme Patriarch, Great King Hung Dao", the people of Dai Viet honored him as "Duc Thanh Tran Cuu Thien Vu De", built a temple to commemorate his great contributions to the country right on the royal palace grounds called Kiep Bac temple.

Taking place from September 24 to October 4, the Con Son - Kiep Bac Autumn Festival 2023 is upgraded and associated with many unique activities, organized for the first time by the Chi Linh - Hai Duong Festival 2023. This is an opportunity to promote the potentials, economic - cultural and social strengths, tourism products, and typical products of Hai Duong province to a large number of people and tourists from all over the world, contributing to promoting the values and cultural beauty of the festival, the special national relic site of Con Son - Kiep Bac, Chi Linh city and Hai Duong province.

The activities included in the 2023 Con Son - Kiep Bac Autumn Festival program also contribute to affirming the complete, great, and global value, demonstrating the dossier of the Yen Tu - Vinh Nghiem - Con Son, Kiep Bac relic and landscape complex that the three provinces of Hai Duong, Quang Ninh, and Bac Giang are completing and submitting to UNESCO for recognition as a world heritage site.

At the ceremony, delegates, people and tourists from all over enjoyed the Cheo performance "Hung khi Luc Dau Giang", recreating the heroic and sacred atmosphere of more than 700 years ago in the land of Van Kiep, Binh Than... performed by artists of the Cheo Theater and the Cultural and Artistic Center of Hai Duong province.

Also on the evening of September 30, Hai Duong province opened the Cultural Tourism and Trade Promotion Week in Kiep Bac.

Taking place from September 30 to October 3, the Cultural Week has 65 booths introducing and selling OCOP products, agricultural products, handicrafts, and typical craft villages of Hai Duong province and the provinces and cities of Quang Ninh, Bac Giang, Bac Ninh, Thai Binh, Vinh Phuc, Hung Yen, Ha Nam, Phu Yen, Dak Lak, Ben Tre, Yen Bai, Tuyen Quang, Son La, Hanoi, Hai Phong, etc.
