Taking place since November, the series of tourism promotion activities implemented by the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Hai Phong has created a positive effect, especially after the Hai Phong 2025 Tourism Destination Promotion Conference. The event attracted more than 250 domestic and foreign travel agencies, along with aviation, service and media businesses, showing that Hai Phong is entering an "acceleration" phase to affirm its new position on the Vietnamese tourism map.
Bang La Mangrove Forest: ' Green Gem ' Awakened
During the destination survey program, the tour groups visited Bang La mangrove forest (Do Son special zone), an ecological area of hundreds of hectares that still retains its pristine beauty. This is a unique resource that is being developed into a new eco-tourism product, connecting with the spiritual tourism route including Hang Pagoda, Thap Tuong Long Pagoda... creating an attractive "sea - forest - meditation" experience journey.

Many tourists said that Hai Phong surprised them because it not only has the sea, but also possesses a diverse ecosystem like the provinces in the West. Tourists can explore the mangrove forest in the morning, eat seafood at Do Son at noon, and return to the old town in the afternoon to rest, stroll around, and enjoy Hai Phong food tour, one of the outstanding tourist products.

At the aviation - tourism connection conference, delegates assessed that Cat Bi International Airport is playing a key role in connecting Hai Phong with most major tourist centers in the country: Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang , Da Lat, Phu Quoc, Cam Ranh...
Internationally, there are currently flights to Incheon (Korea), Lijiang - Nanning - Kunming (China), and are promoting the opening of new routes to Japan and Singapore. Cat Bi Port representatives said they are increasing flight frequency, developing "all-inclusive air travel" packages, and promoting Hai Phong tourism at the terminal and on the plane.
In addition to promotion, Hai Phong promotes training and service upgrading. In October and November, training courses for businesses and food tour operators are held continuously. From food presentation, communication with tourists to building a sustainable brand... are all taken care of to bring the best experience to customers.
"Not only must the food be delicious, but you must also feel happy and welcome," Ms. Phan Thi Binh (Binh Oc 96 Company) shared, considering that the key to retaining tourists and turning Hai Phong food tour into an "emotional specialty".
Four Seasons Festival Destination
According to Vice Chairman of Hai Phong City People's Committee Nguyen Minh Hung, the city is completing a festival tourism model for each season. Spring: Con Son Pagoda Festival, Hao Xa Pagoda Festival, Thuy Nguyen Du Singing... Summer: Red Flamboyant Flower, Do Son - Cat Ba beach tourism. Autumn: Con Son - Kiep Bac Festival. Winter: Trang Trinh Nguyen Binh Khiem Temple Festival.
Along with that are tourism products bearing the mark of urban development such as: city theater, Hai Phong station, Bac Song Cam urban area, Vu Yen island... contributing to creating a unique "Hai Phong tourism identity".

Hai Phong is positioned to become an attractive new tourist destination in the northern region.
As of October 2025, Hai Phong has welcomed 12.8 million visitors, including nearly 1 million international visitors, an increase of about 10% over the same period in 2024. This is considered an important foundation for the city to move towards the goal of becoming a key tourist destination in the north, together with Hanoi, Quang Ninh and Ninh Binh to create a "golden tourism quadrilateral".
With a sustainable development strategy, diversified products, enhanced experiences and systematic investment in infrastructure, Hai Phong not only wants to attract tourists once but also aims to become a "four-season destination", where every visit is a new journey.
