Hai Phong and Singapore strengthen cooperation in the fields of high technology, seaports, and logistics.

Welcoming the delegation of the Southeast Asia and Oceania Department, Ministry of Industry and Trade of Singapore to visit and learn about the investment environment in Hai Phong, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Hoang Minh Cuong said that Singapore currently has 102 investment projects in the area with a total investment capital of more than 9.8 billion USD, mainly focusing on the fields of trade, services, industrial production and real estate. VSIP Industrial Park is one of the typical symbols of cooperation between Vietnam and Singapore in Hai Phong, contributing significantly to making the city a major industrial center of the Northern region.

The Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee expressed his hope that after the visit and working session, the Southeast Asia and Oceania Department, Ministry of Industry and Trade of Singapore will become a bridge to promote investment between Hai Phong and Singaporean enterprises, contributing to further deepening the comprehensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and Singapore in general, as well as between Hai Phong and Singapore in particular.

Ms. Wong Yoke Hui, Director of Southeast Asia and Oceania Department, Ministry of Trade and Industry of Singapore, believes that the two sides will strengthen cooperation.

She highly appreciated the potential and advantages of Hai Phong's seaports, industrial parks, economic zones, especially the international gateway port of Lach Huyen.

Ms. Wong Yoke Hui sincerely thanked Hai Phong city for creating favorable conditions and supporting Singapore's VSIP Industrial Park to develop stably, while attracting many strategic investors.

Singapore believes that the two sides will strengthen cooperation in many areas such as seaports - logistics, high-tech industry, tourism, energy towards green growth, circular economy and digital transformation, contributing to promoting good cooperation between Hai Phong and Singapore.
