Two Dong Thap authors have works honored in Hanoi Capital

(DTO) On the afternoon of August 20, in Hanoi, the Center for Supporting Literary and Artistic Creation (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) held a ceremony to announce outstanding literary and artistic works at creative camps in the period 2017 - 2022.

From more than 19,000 works created in 338 comprehensive creative camps and 64 in-depth creative sessions at 7 creative houses across the country, the Council selected and honored 34 outstanding works.

Two authors from Dong Thap province whose works were honored at this event include: Late painter Duong Quan Dai with his silk painting “Countryside Memories” and poet Truong Trong Nghia with his poetry collection “Flying Up from the Fields” (Culture - Literature Publishing House, 2019).

Speaking at the ceremony, Acting Director of the Center for Supporting Literary and Artistic Creation Tran Ngoc Khoi commented: “The works created by the creators in the period 2017 - 2022 are not only diverse in genre, but also rich in form, affirming their artistic value and influence in cultural life. Many works bear the mark of new creativity, deeply reflecting the reality of the country and Vietnamese people in the period of innovation and integration".

The fact that two Dong Thap authors were honored at the event is not only a source of pride for local artists, but also contributes to affirming the effectiveness of the activities of the creators, which has given rise to many works of ideological and artistic value, contributing to the literary and artistic life of the whole country.
