On the afternoon of August 21st, the closing ceremony and awards presentation for the Vietnamese Short Film Contest 2025 took place at Beta Cinemas (Ho Chi Minh City). The contest was organized by Thanh Nien Newspaper in collaboration with the Vietnam Film Promotion Association and Sandisk Vietnam, with the support of Gigamall Vietnam and Beta Group.

Actress Thuy Ngan captivated attention on the red carpet at the Vietnamese Short Film Competition 2025 awards ceremony. The actress wore a form-fitting, off-the-shoulder black dress that accentuated her curves and created a seductive silhouette.

At the event, Thúy Ngân, along with journalist Nguyễn Trọng Phước - Member of the Editorial Board and Director of the Digital Content Development Center - presented the award for Best Actress. Thúy Ngân shared that an actress's journey begins with small roles, and with belief and passion, they will find bigger roles that touch the hearts of the audience. "I believe this is not only an award recognizing a successful role but also a motivation and strength for young people to bravely step forward and live their lives to the fullest with their roles," she conveyed to the contestants.

Having previously served as a judge in the final round of the first season of the Vietnamese Short Film Contest organized by Thanh Nien Newspaper in 2024, and following this year's competition, Dinh Ngoc Diep shared that she noticed the contestants had a great passion for filmmaking, creating works with surprisingly youthful and creative energy. "They were very creative, had vivid imaginations, and I really liked and admired their ideas. After watching their works in this year's competition, I'm sure we will soon have professional filmmakers in the future," she expressed.

According to reports, director Ly Hai recently returned from the US to attend the closing ceremony and awards presentation for the Vietnamese Short Film Competition 2025, organized by Thanh Nien Newspaper. The director served as a member of the judging panel for the final round of the competition. Ly Hai noted that compared to last year's competition, this year's entries showed significant improvement, with a wider variety of genres and richer themes.
