Two public schools in Hanoi enroll 900 10th graders who failed their wishes.

Two newly established high schools in Hanoi, Do Muoi High School and Phuc Thinh High School, will enroll students from all over the city who do not pass any of their wishes in the 10th grade entrance exam for public high schools in the 2025-2026 school year.

On the afternoon of July 18, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training announced enrollment in grade 10 at Phuc Thinh High School and Do Muoi High School for the 2025-2026 school year.

Phuc Thinh High School and Do Muoi High School recruit students from the entire city who meet the admission requirements but are not admitted to their registered wishes and have an admission score of 12.00 points or higher.

The criteria for each school are as follows:

Students apply for admission (online) to a school on the online admission system at the city's Primary Admissions Portal at: hsdaucap.hanoi.gov.vn.

Registration time is from 8:00 a.m. on July 19 to 8:00 a.m. on July 22. During the registration period, students can change their registration wishes before 24:00 p.m. on July 22.

According to the plan, from 8:00 a.m. on July 23, the school's Admissions Council will meet to review the list of students' registrations for admission, from highest to lowest scores, until the assigned quota is met. In case students have the same admission score for the last quota, the school will report to the Department of Education and Training for consideration and approval.

Before 10:00 a.m. on July 24, the list of admitted students will be publicly announced at the school and on the Electronic Information Portal of the Education and Training sector.

Admitted students submit their admission application to the school from 8:00 a.m. on July 28 to 5:00 p.m. on July 30.

On the same day, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training announced a list of schools that have lowered their admission scores and recruited additional students into public high schools. Of the 10 schools on the list, two, Quang Minh High School and Phuc Loi High School, recruit students throughout the city, regardless of enrollment area.
