Passengers worry about missing flights
From around 10am, many passengers preparing for international flights were unable to check in. The departure check-in area was crowded, with passengers lining up in a restless mood.
Mr. P., who was on the Ho Chi Minh City - Bangkok flight scheduled to take off at 11:35, said he and many others had waited for more than 40 minutes without any action being taken. By 10:50, with less than an hour left until the flight took off, everyone was nervous.
Not only Vietnamese tourists, many international tourists and tourism businesses also sat and waited. Some people were so tired that they sat on the floor, their eyes glued to their watches for fear of missing their flights.
Airline staff must constantly reassure passengers and coordinate with border authorities to arrange priority lanes for flights close to departure times.
A representative of an airline said they are prepared to change flights for passengers in case of delays.

Recovery system, coordinate with airlines to support customers
At around 11:10 a.m., the immigration system began to recover. The border counters reopened and processed passenger documents. However, according to some foreign passengers, there were still cases where operations were interrupted and procedures could not be completed immediately.

A leader of Tan Son Nhat International Airport police said the incident originated from a transmission line error, causing the system to stall.
As soon as the issue was resolved, the agency coordinated with airlines to prioritize handling passengers close to flight time. In cases of missed flights, the agency will work with airlines to provide maximum support.
According to an aviation expert, this incident shows that the management of information technology infrastructure at airports needs to be strengthened. A small problem with the transmission line can also cause disruption to the chain, directly affecting hundreds of passengers.
This is not the first time passengers at major domestic airports have encountered problems related to technology systems.
Therefore, according to aviation experts, the aviation industry and relevant agencies in the aviation chain need backup mechanisms and immediate handling plans to minimize risks to passengers.
