What is carry-on baggage?

Carry-on baggage is free baggage including suitcases and handbags that meet the standards allowed to be carried into the passenger cabin of the aircraft. Passengers should carry valuable items such as cash, jewelry, cameras, camcorders, personal computers, mobile phones, Lithium batteries for electronic devices, etc. in their carry-on baggage. If they have purchased a ticket, passengers can access the Manage Booking section to look up the baggage allowance.

Carry-on baggage regulations by service class

To ensure safety, carry-on baggage must fit under the seat or in the baggage compartment of the aircraft. Passengers must comply with the following carry-on baggage regulations regarding weight and size: Business Class/Premium Economy : total carry-on baggage weight must not exceed 18kg. Including 02 pieces of baggage (each piece must not exceed 10kg) and 01 accessory. Economy Class: total carry-on baggage weight must not exceed 12kg. Including 01 piece of baggage (not exceeding 10kg) and 01 accessory. In which, the maximum 3-dimensional dimensions (length x width x height) must ensure:

• For 01 piece of luggage: 56cm x 36cm x 23cm
• For 01 accessory: 40cm x 30cm x 15cm

Note:

• In addition to the above free carry-on baggage allowance, passengers are allowed to bring some personal items for use on the plane.
• Carry-on baggage exceeding the quantity, weight and size regulations will be required to be checked in. On some flights, large carry-on baggage, although meeting the size and weight standards, may still be required to be checked in (without charge) due to aircraft capacity limitations.

Carry-on luggage for children

Carry-on baggage for children under 2 years old includes 01 piece of baggage not exceeding 3kg (including food, diapers and milk) and 01 foldable stroller/baby carriage that fits the size of the luggage compartment on the plane. In case the luggage compartment is full, the stroller/baby carriage will be transported as checked baggage (free of charge).
