The program is directed by the Chinese Embassy in Vietnam, co-organized by the Department of Culture and Tourism of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and the Chinese Cultural Center in Vietnam.
The program aims to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations and the Vietnam-China Year of Humanitarian Exchange 2025, contributing to strengthening the comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership and promoting the building of a community of shared future between Vietnam and China of strategic significance.

From the "Viet Minh" office relic in Tinh Tay to the secret agency relic of the Communist Party of Vietnam in Long Chau, from the Duc Tai School relic in Nanning to the Nam Khe Son Que Lam Hospital... there are 13 historical relics like living chapters telling about the revolutionary memories of Vietnam and China fighting side by side.

“We have designed 6 thematic tours on the red journey following President Ho Chi Minh’s footsteps, meeting diverse needs such as the practicality of young people and the profound experiences of tourists. This journey not only recreates history, but also aims at profound experiential tourism, especially attracting tourist groups who are Vietnamese Party members,” said Ms. Lam Lam.
According to Ms. Nguyen Phuong Hoa - Director of the Department of International Cooperation of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Guangxi, a land famous for its outstanding nature, rich cultural identity and unique cuisine, is the place that preserves important marks in the revolutionary journey of President Ho Chi Minh. He visited this place many times in the process of finding a way to save the country, building the Vietnamese revolutionary movement and developing the Vietnam - China friendship.
“The tourist route "following President Ho Chi Minh's footsteps" in Guangxi will become a new symbol for historical and cultural tourism and Vietnam-China friendship, contributing to deepening bilateral relations and promoting sustainable cultural and tourism development,” Ms. Nguyen Phuong Hoa affirmed.
The event also included a cultural exchange program and tourism introduction “World Harmonious Tea - Nha Tap 2025”. Mr. Ha Vy, Chinese Ambassador to Vietnam, said that Vietnam and China are two neighboring countries with a long-standing and close traditional friendship. The two countries not only share a border but also share many similarities in culture, customs and practices, including tea culture.

In the first 5 months of 2025, Guangxi welcomed 41,800 Vietnamese visitors, an increase of 88% over the same period in 2024, demonstrating the potential for bilateral tourism cooperation. Tourism agencies on both sides are coordinating to promote products and build a value chain connecting culture - history - cuisine - nature.
