• Warm gratitude activities
  • Practical gratitude to policy families
  • Continuing the flow of gratitude

Imbued with the philosophy of "remembering the source when drinking water, remembering the person who planted the tree when eating fruit", for many years, the Club members have voluntarily taken care of the graves of martyrs resting at the Martyrs' Cemetery. Bac Lieu province (old). They consider it a sacred responsibility of the living - a way to show gratitude to the previous generation who sacrificed for national independence.

Members of the Gratitude Club offer incense at the Martyrs' Cemetery Memorial ( Hoa Binh commune).

Twice a month, usually on weekends, members regularly go to the cemetery to clean, take care of the trees, and keep the landscape clean and solemn for the martyrs' graves .

Among those who are attached to the Club, Mr. Trinh Quoc Chien is a typical member. His father, martyr Trinh Van Minh, who fought in the Phu Loi Battalion (formerly Soc Trang province), is currently resting here with his comrades. Although he is over 70 years old, Mr. Chien is still agile, active, always on time to help everyone clean leaves and tombstones. He and the members of the Club have the same thought: this work is not only a memorial, but also a way to educate historical traditions and patriotism for future generations.

Members carefully cleaned the grounds and paths in the martyrs' cemetery.

Having been with the club since its inception, Mr. Nguyen Huu Tai has devoted nearly 10 years of his life to the martyrs’ cemetery in Hoa Binh commune. He knows by heart every grave, every name, and hometown of the heroes and martyrs here as if they were his own relatives.

Mr. Tai shared that taking care of the martyrs' graves is not only his honor and pride but also the common sentiment of all members of the Club. Thanks to their dedication along with the attention and investment in upgrading from the local government, the Martyrs' Cemetery in Hoa Binh commune is increasingly spacious, clean, and beautiful, with a harmonious landscape, creating favorable conditions for delegations to visit and pay their respects on holidays and Tet, especially on July 27, War Invalids and Martyrs Day .

Members meticulously clean the tombstones, maintaining the solemnity of each martyr's grave.

Not only stopping at taking care of graves, the Heroic Martyrs Gratitude Club also regularly organizes a collective death anniversary ceremony on July 27 every year as a sacred tribute to those who have fallen for the Fatherland. In addition, on the occasion of Qingming Festival, the Club also organizes a traditional worship ceremony on behalf of distant relatives, so that no grave is forgotten or left cold.

In addition, the Club also actively coordinates with mass organizations, agencies, and schools to burn incense, visit, and learn about revolutionary traditions at the cemetery, which preserves memories of the great sacrifices of the nation's outstanding children.

These humane and meaningful actions not only preserve the moral beauty of “remembering the source of water when drinking water”, but also contribute to educating the younger generation about gratitude and responsibility. Therefore, the Club is always recognized, respected and supported by the local Party Committee, government and people”, Mr. Pham Ngoc Lam, Chairman of the Gratitude Club shared.

A moment of rest for members after work at the cemetery.

The Bac Lieu Martyrs Cemetery (old) is now the resting place of nearly 4,000 heroic martyrs - those who devoted their lives to the independence and freedom of the Fatherland. Not only is it a sacred resting place, the cemetery is also a symbol reminding us of the value of peace today, the result of the blood and bones of our ancestors.

Thanks to the silent but humane work of the Club of Gratitude to the Heroes and Martyrs of Hoa Binh Commune, this place is always kept clean, solemn and warm with humanity. It is not only a tribute to the past, but also a torch to pass on to the present and future generations, to live more worthily, so that those noble sacrifices will never be forgotten./.
