A Mu Sung Commune, Bat Xat District, Lao Cai Province, has 6 villages, including 3 inland villages and 3 border villages. On the map of Bat Xat District, A Mu Sung is a land with complex terrain, divided by many mountain ranges. There are 11 villages here, which are the residential area of Mong, Dao and Ha Nhi ethnic groups. In particular, A Mu Sung is the first point where the Red River flows into Vietnam, a proud land of Lao Cai people.
This place not only marks the heroic history of the Border Guard soldiers who fought bravely and sacrificed to protect every inch of the sacred land of the Fatherland, but is also a witness to the strong and lasting bond between the army and the people .
Since 2007, implementing the Border Migration Program to develop the socio -economic border areas, dozens of Mong and Dao households in the communes of Bat Xat district, Din Chin and Ta Gia Khau communes, Muong Khuong district, Lao Cai province volunteered to move to new land, establishing Lung Po village, A Mu Sung commune.
Over the years, there have been many programs to help people develop their economy and gradually stabilize their lives. Thereby, strengthening border management has brought results.
On the afternoon of December 9, at A Mu Sung Border Post, Bat Xat District, the program "December Border Month" took place. The program was organized by union members, youth, officials and employees of Agribank Hai Duong Branch, ABIC Agricultural Bank Insurance Joint Stock Company, Hai Phong Branch in coordination with Lao Cai Border Guard Command.

This is one of the activities to celebrate the 79th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army (December 22, 1944 - December 22, 2023) and the 65th anniversary of the Border Guard's Traditional Day (March 3, 1959 - March 3, 2024), and the 35th anniversary of the People's Border Guard Day (March 3, 1989 - December 22, 2024).
At A Mu Sung Border Post, the program held an incense offering ceremony to commemorate the heroic martyrs of A Mu Sung Border Post and a flag salute at Lung Po flagpole.
The program presented 30 packages of necessities to policy families and poor households in A Mu Sung and Nam Chac communes worth 50 million VND; presented social security funds to families in difficult circumstances in A Mu Sung commune (50 million VND); presented funds to support officers and soldiers of A Mu Sung Border Guard Station with 50 million VND. In addition, the program also presented gifts to a family of a martyr of the Border Guard Station, presented gifts to students of the "Adopted Children of the Border Guard Station" program, and presented 5 national flags at Lung Po flagpole.

This is one of a series of practical activities towards the border by union members, youth, cadres and workers of agencies to show gratitude to the Border Guard officers and soldiers and ethnic people in the border areas, who are working day and night to firmly protect every inch of the sacred land of the Fatherland./.
