Located at an altitude of 350m and dating back more than 300 years, Ba Den Pagoda is the largest pagoda in this spiritual complex. The center of the pagoda complex is the Ba Temple worshiping Linh Son Thanh Mau, also known as Ba Den - a goddess with the grace of protection and support, and is said to have the ability to warn of evil omens and disasters. She is worshiped in a stone cave about 5m² wide. Besides Linh Son Thanh Mau, Ba Den Pagoda also worships Buddha Shakyamuni, Bodhisattva Maitreya, Bodhisattva Quan Am, Tieu Dien, Thap Bat La Han and many other Bodhisattvas in the main hall area.

Inspired by the Le Dynasty Buddha statue, the artisans added many meaningful motifs and patterns, creating a difference for the Tay Bo Da Son Buddha statue compared to Buddha statues of other countries. The statue is placed on a 4-storey concentric base, looking into the distance to pray for the people, with a height of 72m and cast from 170 tons of red copper.

In particular, when climbing the stairs on both sides of the Buddha statue, visitors can observe the green forests, the sea of clouds and the beautiful, fertile plains. In the early morning, the scenery around the Buddha statue is surrounded by clouds and fog, feeling like entering a fairyland. On major holidays of the year, the square at the foot of the Buddha statue is also a place where visitors happily assemble flower lanterns, write wishes and offer them to the gods.

Maitreya Buddha Statue

Sitting at an altitude of over 900m, sitting on a waterfall with a gentle face, a joyful smile, eyes looking towards the East where the sun rises, the great Maitreya Buddha statue is the most popular pilgrimage destination on Ba Den Mountain today.
