The delegation directly inspected the facilities, teaching and learning conditions at a number of schools in the area; worked with the Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee of the commune and schools to listen to reports, discuss and clarify the results achieved as well as difficulties and problems.
According to the report, in the 2025-2026 school year, Sung Mang commune will have 9 schools (3 kindergartens, 3 primary schools, 3 secondary schools) with 24 campuses; 123 classes, more than 3,600 students. The staff, teachers and employees are 195 people, 47 positions short of the quota set by the Ministry of Education and Training .
In terms of facilities, the commune currently has 132 classrooms (83 solid, 45 level IV, 4 prefabricated), 53 student accommodation rooms, 38 teacher accommodation rooms and many items serving teaching and learning. However, there is still a shortage of 28 classrooms, 34 teacher accommodation rooms, 48 student accommodation rooms, 275 sets of tables and chairs, more than 120 bunk beds and many auxiliary works such as dining rooms, toilets, boarding kitchens, and rice warehouses.
At the meeting, local authorities and schools pointed out difficulties in preparing for the new school year, specifically: Lack of teachers for Literature, Mathematics, Foreign Languages, and Information Technology; unsynchronized facilities, limited land fund, many schools do not have fences, lack of playgrounds; limited clean water sources, many places have to buy water; there are no specific instructions for implementing Decree No. 66/2025/ND-CP on policies for nursery children, students, and trainees in ethnic minority and mountainous areas, coastal and island areas, and educational institutions with nursery children and students enjoying policies...
The units recommended that the Provincial People's Council, Provincial People's Committee and relevant agencies promptly arrange sufficient teacher staff, prioritize investment in essential infrastructure and have specific support policies for teachers and students in disadvantaged areas.
Speaking at the meeting, the monitoring delegation acknowledged the locality’s efforts in maintaining student numbers, mobilizing children to attend school and improving the quality of teaching and learning in difficult conditions. The delegation requested the commune to continue promoting propaganda and mobilizing parents and the community to pay more attention to education; overcome immediate difficulties to improve teaching and learning effectiveness; at the same time, focus on implementing policies and regimes for teachers and enhancing the preservation and effective use of equipment in schools.
