Tuyen Quang province will select 20 students for each subject to participate in the national excellent student competition.

On August 28, the Department of Education and Training of Tuyen Quang province issued a Plan to organize the exam to form teams to compete in the national competition to select excellent high school students for the 2025-2026 school year.

The exam aims to select outstanding students to represent Tuyen Quang province in the national-level excellent student competition, while also encouraging and promoting the movement of good teaching and good learning in schools.

According to the plan, the exam will take place over two days, September 11th and 12th, 2025, at the Specialized High School and Ha Giang Specialized High School. The subjects include: Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Literature, History, Geography, English, and Informatics. Eligible candidates are high school students in the province with academic and behavioral performance rated as "good" or higher, and who have previously participated in the provincial-level excellent student selection exam in the 2024-2025 school year.

The exam will be conducted seriously, objectively, and in accordance with the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training , ensuring absolute safety. The exam results will be an important basis for the Department of Education and Training to form the national high school student team for the 2025-2026 academic year.

The Department of Education and Training requests that schools and affiliated units promptly implement measures to ensure adequate preparation of facilities, personnel, and other necessary conditions for the exam to take place smoothly and effectively.

According to the leaders of the Department of Education and Training, the Ministry of Education and Training has just announced a draft amendment and supplement to some articles of the Regulations on the National Excellent Student Selection Examination after the rearrangement and merger of provinces and cities. Accordingly, Tuyen Quang province, formed from the merger of the two former provinces of Tuyen Quang and Ha Giang, will be allowed to select a maximum of 20 candidates/team/subject to participate in the National High School Excellent Student Selection Examination in the 2025-2026 school year.
