The Department of Industry and Trade held a courtesy meeting with a delegation from the Commerce Bureau of Wenshan Prefecture and Baise City (China).

Within the framework of the Vietnam-China Trade Fair (Tuyen Quang 2025), on the afternoon of December 12th, in Ha Giang 1 ward, Mr. Hoang Anh Cuong, Director of the Department of Industry and Trade of Tuyen Quang province, held a courtesy meeting and working session with the delegation from the Bureau of Commerce of Wenshan Prefecture and Baise City (China), led by Mr. Li Xuanquan, Deputy Director of the Bureau of Commerce of Wenshan Prefecture; and Mr. Peng Jiansheng, Head of the Border Gate Office of Baise City.

At the meeting, Director of the Department of Industry and Trade Hoang Anh Cuong expressed his pleasure in welcoming the delegations attending the Vietnam-China Trade Fair. He stated that, with its potential and advantages in developing processing, manufacturing, and trade services, Tuyen Quang's industry and trade sector will continue to achieve many positive results in 2025, such as: Industrial production value estimated at 33,400 billion VND; import and export turnover reaching over 1 billion USD, an increase of 86% compared to the same period in 2024.

The parties exchanged views on the current state of bilateral trade cooperation, trade promotion activities, and business networking opportunities in the areas of strength of each locality. They also agreed on areas for future exchange and cooperation, including: continuing to implement the common understandings discussed and signed by high-level leaders of the two Parties, two States, and two localities; strengthening coordination in managing import and export activities, exchanging information on markets, commodity policies, and trade regulations; and boosting trade promotion and business support.

Simultaneously, coordinate the organization of business delegations for exchange and trade networking; share experiences in implementing digital transaction platforms, electronic payments, barcode systems, and traceability; and closely cooperate in inspection, control, and combating smuggling and trade fraud. Particularly noteworthy are the substantive and effective cooperation programs in areas such as: processing agricultural products, medicinal herbs, and developing tourism and cultural tours.
