On the morning of October 13, the four winners of the quarterly competitions entered the final round of the Road to Olympia 2024. Vo Quang Phu Duc (grade 12, specialized in Mathematics, Quoc Hoc High School for the Gifted, Hue ) won convincingly, winning the laurel wreath and the prize of 50,000 USD.
This is the third time students of Quoc Hoc Hue High School for the Gifted have won the final laurel wreath of the Road to Olympia in the past 24 years.

Mr. Nguyen Phu Tho - Principal of Hue National High School for the Gifted said that he was very happy when Phu Duc continued the tradition of his predecessors at the intellectual playground Road to Olympia to bring glory to Hue National High School for the Gifted.

According to teacher Nguyen Phu Tho, Phu Duc used to be a student at Nguyen Tri Phuong Secondary School - a high-quality school in Hue. When he first entered Quoc Hoc Hue High School, Phu Duc had a talent for Math and was a student specializing in Math at the school. During his studies, Duc was a very hard-working, energetic and enthusiastic student who participated in school movements and union and association activities.

Phu Duc also expressed his passion for the Road to Olympia competition when he entered Quoc Hoc High School for the Gifted in Hue. Duc is an active student in participating in competitions outside of school, and together with two other students from Quoc Hoc High School for the Gifted in Hue, won first prize in the Heritage with Schools competition jointly organized by the Department of Education and Training of the province and the Hue Monuments Conservation Center.
"The laurel wreath of Phu Duc is an inspiration for the next generations. Hopefully, in the coming years, Quoc Hoc Hue High School for the Gifted will have excellent climbers in this program," said Mr. Nguyen Phu Tho.

After Phu Duc won the laurel wreath in the final round of the Road to Olympia competition, Mr. Nguyen Tan - Director of the Department of Education and Training of Thua Thien Hue province could not hide his joy and emotion. "Phu Duc has demonstrated the bravery, studious spirit, and tradition of students of Quoc Hoc Hue in particular and of Thua Thien Hue in general. He deserves the trust and expectations of teachers, students and people of Thua Thien Hue and has brought glory to his home province", Mr. Nguyen Tan shared.
Born into a family with a tradition of studiousness, combined with intelligence and effort in studying, Phu Duc has been an excellent student for 11 consecutive years. Phu Duc's favorite subjects are Math and Foreign Languages. Phu Duc is also passionate about learning new things in books and the world around him.

Phu Duc said that to win the laurel wreath of the Road to Olympia Finals this year, he himself had to go through a process of constantly cultivating and improving his knowledge.
"Ever since I was in primary school, I have been passionate about the Road to Olympia program and dreamed of participating in this program. Knowing that this is an intellectual playground, requiring players to have deep and broad knowledge, I constantly research, learn knowledge and train myself to be comfortable and confident," Phu Duc revealed.
