This afternoon (November 19), Ton Duc Thang University organized a reception and working program with the delegation of the President of the Senate of the Czech Republic on the occasion of the State visit to Vietnam to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and the Czech Republic.
Within the framework of the program, President of the Senate of the Czech Republic Milos Vystrcil presented a commemorative medal to Dr. Tran Trong Dao, Rector of Ton Duc Thang University, for his contributions in the field of education and training and promoting cooperation between the two countries. On this occasion, Dr. Phan Dao, Director of the University's European Cooperation Center, also received a commemorative medal from the President of the Senate of the Czech Republic.

Speaking at the ceremony, President of the Senate of the Czech Republic Milos Vystrcil highly appreciated Ton Duc Thang University's efforts in promoting academic exchange programs, scientific research and educational cooperation with Czech higher education institutions. He emphasized that Ton Duc Thang University is "one of the Vietnamese universities with the strongest and most effective cooperation activities with Czech partners", contributing to deepening the traditional friendship between the two countries.
During the meeting, President of the Senate of the Czech Republic Milos Vystrcil spent time discussing with lecturers and students about cooperation opportunities in education, research, and innovation; and expressed his desire to expand more connection programs between students of the two countries in the coming time. In particular, the President of the Senate gave a presentation on the topic "Europe and Asia" and interacted with students of Ton Duc Thang University.
Speaking at the event, Dr. Tran Trong Dao expressed his honor to welcome President of the Senate of the Czech Republic Milos Vystrcil and a high-ranking delegation including parliamentarians, representatives of universities and businesses of the Czech Republic to visit the school.

In his speech, the President of Ton Duc Thang University emphasized the school's readiness and determination to develop cooperative relations with universities, research institutes and enterprises of the Czech Republic. "We believe that there are many similarities between the two countries, especially in the fields of education, science and technology. The school is ready to cooperate in university training programs, exchange lecturers, carry out joint research projects, as well as promote innovation and industrial applications," Dr. Dao added.
In addition, Dr. Tran Trong Dao said that the Ministry of Education and Training has assigned Ton Duc Thang University to represent Vietnamese universities in implementing higher education cooperation programs with the Czech Republic. This is an honor and a great responsibility, affirming the pioneering role of the university in building a bridge between the two educational systems. "We believe that the joint efforts will bring many practical results - new training programs, valuable research projects and long-lasting friendship between students and lecturers of Vietnam and the Czech Republic," added the President of Ton Duc Thang University.
