Nam Dinh Vu Industrial Park strives to become an ecological industrial park by 2029

Nam Dinh Vu Industrial Park (Hai Phong) is implementing tasks in 3 phases to achieve the goal of becoming an ecological industrial park by 2029.

On the afternoon of November 21, Sao Do Group cooperated with GREEN IN Company to organize a workshop on "Promoting green industrial park model: symbiosis - circulation - low emissions" at Nam Dinh Vu industrial park.

The workshop was attended by speakers who are Net Zero experts and representatives of businesses operating in Nam Dinh Vu Industrial Park.

Opening the workshop, Director of Nam Dinh Vu Industrial Park Management Board Luong Xuan Dam informed: Nam Dinh Vu Industrial Park has enough potential to become a pioneer green industrial park of Hai Phong and the whole country according to the Vietnam Eco-Industrial Park Criteria and UNIDO framework.

To become a green industrial park, in the coming period, Nam Dinh Vu will focus on four orientations: developing industrial symbiosis; promoting circular economy ; building low-emission industrial parks: energy saving, renewable energy, emission monitoring; connecting green financial mechanisms and support programs to reduce initial investment costs.

Opportunities and challenges when implementing business symbiosis in industrial parks are issues of concern to many businesses at the workshop.

At the workshop, delegates were informed about the strategic framework for developing eco-industrial parks in Nam Dinh Vu; policies, principles and benefits from the effective symbiotic industrial park model in Vietnam; circular economy and opportunities to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in Nam Dinh Vu industrial park...

Accordingly, Nam Dinh Vu aims to become an eco-industrial park by 2029 and will be implemented in 3 phases. Phase 2024 - 2025, focusing on conducting data surveys, training and perfecting policies; phase 2026 - 2027, investing in energy - waste and social infrastructure; phase 2028 - 2029, implementing symbiosis expansion, certifying eco-industrial parks and communicating images.
