Unique and strange images at Hue Marathon 2025

On the morning of April 6, the VnExpress Marathon Hue 2025 took place in Hue City with the participation of 12,000 domestic and international athletes. This is the second race of the VnExpress Marathon system organized by VnExpress Newspaper and FPT Online Services Joint Stock Company in 2025.

The starting point of this year’s race is on Le Duan Street, Phu Van Lau area, in front of Hue Imperial City. Runners of the 5km, 10km and 21km distances will finish on Le Duan Street, at the intersection of Nguyen Trai Street (Nha Do Gate) in Phu Xuan District. Runners of the 42km will finish on To Huu Street, opposite the Hue City Sports Center in Thuan Hoa District.

Each distance at VnExpress Marathon Hue 2025 is a unique journey of experience. The Full Marathon distance (42 km) starts first at 3:00, the 21 km distance starts at 4:00, the 10 km and 5 km distances will start at 6:00 and 6:30 respectively.

VnExpress Marathon Hue 2025 hopes to contribute to promoting the sports movement in Hue City in particular and Vietnam in general, thereby contributing to promoting the image of the ancient and dreamy Hue to the domestic and international running community.

All runners participating in VnExpress Marathon Hue 2025 will be exempted from tickets to visit the ancient capital of Hue, with the total value of the exempted tickets up to 1.15 million VND if visiting all the relics.

According to the Hue City Department of Tourism, the number of visitors to Hue City during the Hung Kings' Commemoration Day holiday in 2025 (from April 4 to 7) is estimated at 105,000. Of which, the number of overnight guests is estimated at 38,000, with room occupancy estimated at 85%. The occupancy rate of pre-booked rooms on April 5 was nearly 95%, and on April 6 it was nearly 90%, with revenue estimated at VND214 billion.
