Striker Nguyen Dinh Bac has completely recovered from a muscle overload injury and returned to normal training with U23 Vietnam, bringing good news to coach Kim Sang Sik before the important match with U23 Cambodia.
Dinh Bac's return helps U23 Vietnam have the strongest force, aiming to win all 3 points and win a ticket to the semi-finals of the 2025 Southeast Asian U23 tournament in Indonesia.

During the training session on the evening of July 21, Coach Kim Sang Sik focused on reviewing, perfecting tactics and testing personnel for the main squad. In particular, specialized exercises to improve scoring efficiency were focused on the attack line.
The whole team maintained a positive training atmosphere and high concentration. Although only needing one point to secure a place in the semi-finals, U23 Vietnam still set the goal of winning every match.
Notably, defender Vo Anh Quan shared about the difficulties in the opening match against U23 Laos: “At the beginning of the match, I lost the ball quite a lot, leading to a bad mentality and not being able to show my true ability. However, coach Kim Sang Sik did not scold me but only encouraged me to try harder in training, maintain the highest concentration so as not to repeat mistakes.”

Regarding the opportunity to play in the match against U23 Cambodia, Anh Quan said that the lineup has not been announced yet. He affirmed that the whole team has been thoroughly prepared mentally and tactically: "Coach Kim showed the whole team the match video, analyzed it in great detail so that each person clearly understands their role and position on the field as well as how to mark the opponent."
Commenting on the opponent, Anh Quan assessed: "Compared to U23 Laos, U23 Cambodia controls the ball better and plays more confidently, so the whole team needs to focus to achieve the best results."
Vo Anh Quan, born in 2004, grew up from the PVF training center. After winning the 2004 National U21 Championship runner-up with PVF U21, he moved to Phu Dong Ninh Binh Club. In the 2024-25 National First Division, Anh Quan played 11 times (8 starting matches). He was first called up to the Vietnam U22 team in June and was in the main squad of the Vietnam U23 team in the opening match against Laos U23 in this tournament.
