The typical content that made Duc SVM famous is the series of videos “pseudo-poor president”. In it, the central character – often played by himself – is a rich man who deliberately disguises himself as a poor person to test people’s hearts. After many situations of being looked down upon and despised, the character “turns face” with his true identity and gives a moral lesson.

Despite attracting a large audience, the content of these videos is considered to lack depth and rely mainly on shock value to attract views. Many people believe that these videos do not bring real entertainment value and lack creativity.

On forums and social networks, many people have commented that these videos are just “clickbait”, with unrealistic plots, lacking cultural or educational value, and even offensive. Many people are concerned that the uncontrolled spread of these vulgar videos could reach children, thereby negatively affecting young audiences.

For example, under a video that attracted 16 million views on the SVM School 1 YouTube channel posted in 2019, some commenters said that the content belittled farmers and the poor. There were even harsh comments saying that the videos were of poor quality, the plot was repetitive, every president was belittled, the characters were judged only on their appearance, acted over and over, very bland and annoying.

Recently, many social media users discovered that Duc SVM's TikTok account with 1 million followers has been temporarily suspended or switched to private mode.
