Prince Harry's immigration application complied with all "applicable rules and regulations," according to a Department of Homeland Security (DHS) attorney, according to RadarOnline.com .
Prince Harry's documents are said to have been "heavily redacted" after the Heritage Foundation filed a lawsuit demanding the release of documents it said would reveal the Duke of Sussex lied about drug use on his immigration application.
Prince Harry currently lives with his wife and children in Los Angeles.

The documents were released on March 18 after Judge Carl Nichols set a deadline. Some of the documents were suppressed to protect Harry's privacy and to prevent him from being "harassed".
Jarrod Panter, of DHS, also made it clear that Harry did not receive “preferential treatment.” He said: “As explained above, the records do not support that allegation but do demonstrate that the administrative process involved in reviewing and granting immigration benefits was conducted in accordance with the Immigration and Nationality Act and applicable rules and regulations.”
Before the documents were released, politician Greg Swenson said Harry should be deported from the US if he was found to have lied. He said: "If Harry is here illegally, it is hypocritical that he should be given special treatment in the context of mass deportations. The smartest thing for Harry to do would be to leave the country voluntarily, avoiding legal proceedings."
Swenson added that he did not believe President Donald Trump would "interfere" in saving Harry and was only concerned about the 40-year-old leaving the US.
The lawsuit was previously filed after Harry admitted in his memoir Spare that he used drugs (including cocaine and magic mushrooms) as a young man. The Heritage Foundation has requested the release of Harry's immigration records.
In February 2025, President Donald Trump ruled out the possibility of deporting Prince Harry from the United States.

All applicants for US immigration are required to disclose their current and past drug use. In September 2024, a judge ruled that Harry’s application must remain confidential.
At the time, a source said Harry's wife - Meghan Markle - feared he would be deported from the US.
"Harry is worried about being deported, he's worried about leaving. Meghan is also afraid of Harry having to leave the US. They both feel very insecure right now, with everything going on in the US, plus all the pressure on them to get their projects done," the insider said.
Before his election, President Donald Trump declared that he "will not protect Harry from deportation. He betrayed the Queen. That is unforgivable. Harry will do it himself or I will do it."
However, in February 2025, Donald Trump ruled out the possibility of deporting Prince Harry from the United States. He said the prince had enough trouble with his wife, Meghan Markle.
