Promote multiple solutions
According to the reporter's records, recently, many businesses in the city have implemented green production models, energy saving, investing in renewable energy (solar energy), reusing water after wastewater treatment, recovering and recycling products... towards a green economy, a circular economy.
Associate Professor, Dr. Kieu Thi Kinh also said that the application of green economy and circular economy in Da Nang city is showing signs of improvement in the context that many businesses that want to grow must apply ESG standards (environment, society and governance).
Credit sources for green development activities are always available and many organizations have preferential programs and loans with 0% interest. The Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) Fund is also about to be launched.
These are valuable opportunities for businesses to access green credit sources to innovate technology, convert to green production...
"Businesses need vision, technology and practical solutions to convince credit institutions, banks and funds to support preferential loans for green production transformation," Associate Professor, Dr. Kieu Thi Kinh suggested.
According to the Department of Agriculture and Environment, Da Nang will focus on greening solutions for production, trade, services and consumption; attracting investment and developing businesses towards green economy and circular economy.
The city will also improve the quality of environmental governance and green growth in the actions of State agencies and enterprises through continuously improving and enhancing the Provincial Green Index (PGI).
At the same time, develop policies to encourage businesses to apply clean production technology, reduce carbon emissions, use energy and resources economically and efficiently; and use environmentally friendly raw materials, fuels and materials.
Along with that, implementing activities to promote green consumption, green purchasing, green public investment; propaganda campaigns to raise awareness of businesses and consumers about the importance of standards, eco-labels and environmental certifications.
An important solution is that the city will promote and support businesses to access green credit sources for low-carbon production and consumption industries. The city will also promote and develop the carbon market...
Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment Pham Nam Son said: “The city will promote green production and circular economy; encourage industrial parks to convert to ecological industrial park models. At the same time, encourage businesses to apply cleaner production technology, use renewable energy and environmentally friendly fuels.”
