The National Target Program for Building New Rural Areas (NTM) for the period 2021-2025 has become a masterful conductor, leading a powerful orchestra of localities, organizations, and households in harmony, creating powerful melodies of development, especially through promoting production linkages.
The achievements are extremely encouraging: 110 out of 130 communes in the province have completed criterion number 13 on production organization and rural economic development, reaching a rate of 85.3%. This figure is not just a dry number on a report, but a vivid testament to the strong transformation of rural Hoa Binh. Behind each of these figures lies countless efforts, the collective contributions of the people, the decisive leadership of the government at all levels, and the effective support of development programs and projects.

With all 15 communes completing criterion number 13, Mai Chau district has demonstrated strategic vision by placing production linkages at the heart of new rural development. Not just a slogan, the district has taken action by actively directing the development and replication of shared economic models, providing maximum support to cooperatives to optimize resources. Commercial and service infrastructure has been invested in systematically, modernly, and comprehensively, creating a solid foundation for socio-economic development until 2030.
A particular highlight is the strong development of e-commerce, a powerful tool connecting production and consumption. Businesses and cooperatives have proactively built websites, created QR codes for their products, and maximized the power of information technology to promote and reach a wider market.
The district budget is rationally allocated to support cooperatives in applying scientific and technological advancements and information technology, helping to improve product quality and economic efficiency. As a result, high-quality products from Mai Chau are now available in major supermarkets and leading e-commerce platforms nationwide, creating a widespread reputation.
The implementation of Criterion No. 13 and Component No. 3 of the National Target Program for Building New Rural Areas is being carried out synchronously throughout the province. Activities to restructure the agricultural sector and promote the OCOP program aim to increase added value and operational efficiency of cooperatives and businesses, creating a powerful and diverse symphony. Agricultural production-consumption linkages are increasingly emerging and proving effective.
Images of large businesses partnering with local cooperatives to sell safe produce such as pumpkins, potatoes, sweet corn, pineapples, and vegetables in Kim Boi; or the connections between businesses and farms and cooperatives in Lac Thuy to sell oranges and chili peppers; and the introduction of safe vegetables from Luong Son into major supermarket chains… are all concrete examples.
According to the Rural Development Sub-Department, these successes stem from improved resource utilization efficiency, thereby increasing people's income and moving towards a sustainable agricultural growth model. The figure of 158 OCOP 3-star and 4-star products is clear evidence of the significantly improved product quality.
Investing in the construction of OCOP product showrooms and sales points (with 100% socialized funding), combined with diversifying channels for connecting and consuming agricultural products, especially e-commerce, has effectively met market demand, expanded production opportunities, and developed concentrated raw material areas. This is the foundation for sustainable development in the future.
Hoa Binh province is continuing to vigorously implement comprehensive solutions for organizing production and developing the rural economy, striving to complete and exceed the targets of the National Target Program for building new rural areas in the 2021-2025 period.
