( Quang Ngai Newspaper) - The electronic invoice (E-invoice) solution generated from cash registers has been officially applied and operated by the tax sector since December 15, 2022, helping tax authorities manage taxes more effectively.
Identifying the implementation of electronic invoices with tax authority codes generated from cash registers as a key task of the tax sector, in 2023, the Tax Department advised the Provincial People's Committee to issue Directive No. 05/CT-UBND on promoting the implementation of electronic invoices generated from cash registers, preventing loss of state budget revenue in the province.
Implementing the above directive, the tax sector from the provincial to district levels has focused on reviewing and firmly grasping the subjects belonging to the groups of goods and services businesses such as shopping malls, consumer goods retail, pharmaceutical retail, entertainment services, supermarkets, food and beverage, restaurants, hotels and other services. Thereby, promoting propaganda and mobilizing business establishments to implement.

According to the Provincial Tax Department, the implementation of electronic invoices generated from cash registers not only brings benefits in tax management, limiting fraud in declarations but also brings many other benefits to people, businesses and the whole society. Specifically, it reduces business management costs; facilitates quick and convenient buying and selling transactions; makes searching and retrieval easy and systematic; increases transparency and publicity in transactions.
However, the process of implementing electronic invoices initiated from cash registers also encounters many difficulties. The reason is that there is currently no sanction for cases of non-implementation, while the mentality of sellers is not to want to change, afraid of the cost of upgrading and installing additional equipment; buyers are also not used to receiving invoices and do not want to wait to receive invoices after making a purchase.
Deputy Director of the Provincial Tax Department Dinh Thien Khanh said that in the coming time, to successfully implement the next phase, the Provincial Tax Department will continue to urge and accelerate the implementation of electronic invoices with codes of tax authorities generated from cash registers across the province. At the same time, maintain the quarterly "Lucky Invoice" program to create a ripple effect among the people, encourage and create a habit for consumers to get invoices when purchasing goods and services, contributing to creating an equal and transparent business environment.
Along with that, the Provincial Tax Department will also focus on upgrading the e-invoice application to meet the decentralization and exploitation of e-invoice data of tax agencies. Upgrade and deploy the risk analysis application to meet the criteria for invoice risk management to assess and identify taxpayers with signs of risk in invoice management and use to prevent invoice fraud, causing loss of revenue to the state budget.
By the end of February 2024, the whole province had 157 enterprises and business households using electronic invoices generated from cash registers, reaching 100% of the target assigned by the General Department of Taxation according to the roadmap. The number of invoices used was nearly 210.4 thousand invoices. |
