The Red Rain art photography exhibition took place at 17 Ly Nam De Street ( Hanoi ) - the headquarters of the People's Army Cinema, as an important part of the series of activities celebrating the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution, National Day September 2, and towards the 78th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day.
This is also a sideline activity of the feature film Red Rain - a key project produced by the People's Army Cinema under Decision No. 1113/QD-CT of the Ministry of National Defense . The film recreates the fierce 81 days and nights of defending Quang Tri Citadel, while also depicting the diplomatic front at the Paris Conference, where every word carries the weight of blood and national life.
Major General Tran Ngoc Anh, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the General Department of Politics , Director of the Department of Politics, General Department of Politics and the Board of Directors of the People's Army Cinema cut the ribbon to open the exhibition.

Red Rain 's Mission: reenacting history and honoring sacrifice
At the opening ceremony of the exhibition, Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Thu Dung - Director of the People's Army Cinema affirmed that, for artists in the army, each film work is a mission on the ideological and cultural front. Under the direction of the Ministry of National Defense, the production of the film Red Rain is not only for artistic purposes but also a sacred mission to recreate a glorious period in history, to honor the sacrifice of thousands of soldiers at the Quang Tri citadel.
The exhibition opens on July 17-18, inviting the public, especially the youth - those born in peace but need to be passed on the sacred flame from their fathers and elders.

Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Thu Dung emphasized: "The film Red Rain is a symbol of courage and noble sacrifice. It was a rain of bombs, blood and tears that fell for 81 days and nights on the ancient citadel of Quang Tri. There, generations of soldiers in their twenties fell, merging into the fiery Thach Han River to protect every inch of the sacred land of the Fatherland."

Military runner-up Chau Anh emotionally told reporters: "I feel extremely lucky and proud to participate in a meaningful project like Red Rain . Images from the old battlefield are not only memories, but also a reminder for the younger generation to cherish peace, understand the responsibility of preserving the Fatherland and continuing the will of their ancestors." She said she will bring these valuable experiences to spread during her term, as a way to nurture patriotism through activities in daily life.
Sharing with reporters, actor Do Nhat Hoang, who is considered a promising face of revolutionary films, said: "When transforming into the character, I feel like I am living in a fighting atmosphere. The exhibition is an opportunity for everyone to see the backstage of sacrifice, where each photo is a vivid film."

With 40 artistic photos taken during the making of the film Red Rain , the exhibition not only depicts the image of soldiers amidst bombs and bullets, but also the quiet, contemplative moments, rich in psychological depth. The dioramas, props, and battlefield costumes are also vividly arranged, contributing to highlighting the historical and artistic dimensions.
The exhibition is considered one of the meaningful events opening a series of humane activities accompanying the film of the same name and aiming to celebrate the nation's major holidays.
Many young actors and young people were delighted to be present at the exhibition.
