The exhibition is organized by the Vietnam Fatherland Front Museum, the Vietnam Women's Museum, the Cuban Embassy in Vietnam in coordination with a number of agencies and units, in response to the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Cuba (1960 - 2025), the Vietnam - Cuba Friendship Year, the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam National United Front - the Vietnam Fatherland Front's Traditional Day (1930 - 2025); the 81st anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army and the 36th anniversary of the National Defense Day.
In her opening speech, Ms. Nguyen Thi Tuyet, Director of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Museum and the Vietnam Women's Museum, emphasized: The exhibition "Loyalty and Love" is an event of special significance commemorating the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Cuba (1960 - 2025). Over the years, the Vietnam Women's Museum has not only been a place to preserve the memories and heritage of generations of Vietnamese women, but also a cultural bridge - where the values of international friendship, solidarity and unity, and the revolutionary tradition of the nation are connected and spread. The exhibition "Loyalty and Love" wishes to recount in a simple but profound way the 65-year journey of love between the two brotherly nations, through very ordinary stories, through photos and memorabilia preserved for decades...
Speaking at the event, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Cuba to Vietnam - Rogelio Polanco Fuentes said that the exhibition is a profound tribute to the historical relationship between the two peoples, a relationship that has been forged over many generations and always preserved as a priceless treasure, becoming a shining example of international solidarity.
Mr. Rogelio Polanco Fuentes emphasized: Both the Vietnamese and Cuban peoples are proud of the glorious history written by female heroes - who have made important contributions to the struggle for independence, national liberation as well as to the construction and development of the country. Among them, there are women who have left a deep mark on the friendly relations between the two countries, such as Cuban revolutionary heroine Melba Hernández - who led the movement to support Vietnam for many years, also the first female Cuban Ambassador in Hanoi and "female general" Nguyen Thi Dinh - Deputy Commander of the Liberation Forces of South Vietnam, later President of the Vietnam Women's Union, President of the Vietnam - Cuba Friendship Association. The legacy of the two women is a living testament to the exemplary friendship between Vietnam and Cuba.
The exhibition “Loyalty and Friendship” consists of 4 parts, introducing more than 200 typical images, documents and artifacts reflecting the general history of the special, comprehensive, united and loyal friendship between Vietnam and Cuba. In particular, the opening part “Under the same flag” includes images and artifacts summarizing the similarities between the two countries at the opposite ends of the world, Vietnam and Cuba, and the historical milestone when Vietnam and Cuba established diplomatic relations in 1960.
Part two, titled “Two Hearts...”, introduces typical images and stories reflecting the special, comprehensive relationship between Vietnam and Cuba during the most difficult times of the two countries. Cuba stood side by side with Vietnam, especially in the resistance war against the US; Vietnam supported and helped Cuba overcome the period of US embargo in the late 90s of the 20th century. The exhibition also emphasizes the role of “female general” Nguyen Thi Dinh, a special woman who contributed to the strong friendship between Vietnam and Cuba.
Part 3, with the theme "Sharing the Beat", includes documents and images showing the solidarity of the two Parties and peoples, and the comprehensive cooperation relationship between Vietnam and Cuba that is constantly being strengthened, promoted and developed in all fields in the current situation.
At the event, the Cuban Embassy in Vietnam presented the Vietnam Fatherland Front Museum with the banner “A Melba with Fidel always doing revolution with Uncle Ho forever faithful heart” - a souvenir of Ms. Melba Hernández Rodríguez, former Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Cuba to Vietnam, who was given it on the occasion of her 75th birthday, July 28, 1996. After receiving it, this banner and a number of propaganda posters by Cuban artists in the 70s of the 20th century were displayed for the first time in the exhibition “Loyalty and Love”, as a vivid demonstration of the spirit of international solidarity and the loyal relationship between the two countries of Vietnam and Cuba.

Journalist Huynh Dung Nhan shares the story about the portrait of President Fidel Castro that his family donated to the Museum.
Within the framework of the event, the public was able to participate in an exchange program with guests who have been attached to and have many memories with the country and people of Cuba, including: Director Nguyen Ha Tiep, one of the directors of the film "Two Hearts Sharing the Beat" - a work recording the journey of righteousness and affection between the two countries and the two peoples of Vietnam and Cuba; Mr. Manuel Enrique Montañé Enriquez, Deputy Factory Director at the Genfarma Pharmaceutical Joint Venture Company between Vietnam and Cuba, nephew of Mrs. Melba Hernandez - the first President of the Committee for Solidarity with South Vietnam (1963), the predecessor of today's Cuba - Vietnam Friendship Association; Ms. Phuong Song Lien, an international student at the University of Agriculture of La Habana, Cuba; journalist Huynh Dung Nhan with the story about his father and special memories of his visit to Cuba.
