Inauguration of Salamad Mosque in Long Xuyen ward

On December 5, in Long Xuyen ward, the Representative Board of the Islamic community of An Giang province held an inauguration ceremony for the Salamad Mosque. Vice Chairman of the An Giang Provincial People's Committee Le Van Phuoc and Mr. Warsito, Deputy Minister of Coordinating Ministry of Human Development and Culture of Indonesia attended the ceremony.

Delegates cut the ribbon to inaugurate the Salamad Mosque .

Salamad Mosque is located on Nguyen Trai Street, Ward 3, Long Xuyen Ward . After nearly 70 years of use, the old mosque has deteriorated. The new mosque was rebuilt with a total cost of more than 4.3 billion VND, fully sponsored by the Indonesian Humanitarian Forum through the Indonesian Embassy in Hanoi .

Previously, Vice Chairman of An Giang Provincial People's Committee Le Van Phuoc paid a courtesy call to Mr. Warsito, Deputy Minister of Coordinating Ministry of Human Development and Culture of Indonesia on the occasion of attending the inauguration ceremony of Salamad Mosque.

Vice Chairman of An Giang Provincial People's Committee Le Van Phuoc hopes to continue to strengthen connection and direct cooperation between An Giang and Indonesia to promote common strengths and further consolidate the good partnership between the two countries.
