Meeting of the Special Working Group in Phu Quoc Special Economic Zone

On the afternoon of December 5, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of An Giang Province, Ngo Cong Thuc, chaired a meeting of the Special Working Group on inspecting and handling violations of the law on land, forestry and construction in the Phu Quoc Special Economic Zone (referred to as the Special Working Group). The meeting was held online with the group members at the Phu Quoc Special Economic Zone bridge point.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ngo Cong Thuc, Head of the Special Working Group chaired the meeting.

The special working group is implemented according to Decision No. 2096/QD-UBND, dated November 24, 2025 of the Chairman of An Giang Provincial People's Committee on the consolidation of the special working group, including a team leader, 3 deputy team leaders, 15 team members and a group of secretaries and generalists.

At the meeting, the Special Working Group approved the draft plan and assigned tasks to members; and approved the report on the results of inspection and handling of violations in the fields of land, forestry and construction in Phu Quoc special economic zone.

Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of An Giang province, Head of the Special Task Force Ngo Cong Thuc emphasized that in the coming time, the Special Task Force will establish a Zalo group to promptly exchange information. The team will coordinate with relevant sectors and forces to strictly manage the area; strictly implement decisions in handling violations, not allowing reoccupation after forced eviction; strengthen propaganda, publicize violations and handling results to serve as deterrence.

Vice Chairman of An Giang Provincial People's Committee Ngo Cong Thuc requested the Working Group to seriously implement the "6 clear" motto according to the Prime Minister 's consistent direction: Clear people, clear work, clear time, clear responsibility, clear products and clear authority.

The team works with a spirit of urgency to complete tasks as they arise, contributing to ensuring projects and works serving the Asia- Pacific Economic Cooperation Forum in Phu Quoc in 2027 (APEC 2027).
