In recent years, around the beginning of the 10th lunar month, I start to grow flower seeds of all kinds to sell to people to buy and grow themselves. Each Tet season, in about 2 months, I sell nearly 40,000 flower varieties of all kinds. There are types of flowers planted from the middle of the 10th lunar month; there are types like marigolds that are usually planted in the beginning of the 11th lunar month, so they will bloom in time for Tet."

Compared to previous years, this year the prices of flower seedlings have increased, from 1,000 VND to 15,000 VND/plant depending on the type. According to many people who grow flowers for Tet, with the cost of buying seedlings from several tens to several hundred thousand VND, plus the cost of buying pots, fertilizers... owning beautiful flower pots to welcome Tet is not difficult.

Many people think that in the past, if you wanted to grow marigolds to celebrate Tet, you had to cut the dried flowers the year before to make seeds, which was quite laborious. Currently, there are many seeds, seedlings, plastic pots, fertilizers, etc. on the market that are easy to find at flower shops or agricultural supply stores.
