Every crown has its own weight, so what is the "weight" for H'Hen Nie when wearing the Miss Universe Vietnam crown?
At the moment, I don't think of the crown as pressure but cherish it as a close friend.
After the ups and downs of the past 6 years, I have learned how to keep myself steadfast and calm in all matters. No matter what the problem is, there will always be a solution. The important thing is how you face it and whether you have enough courage.
- Coming from a poor family, who inspired H'Hen Nie to pursue her goals?
Maybe it was from the people around me. When I was in school and saw students volunteering to go back to their hometown, I wished I could go and help people. My grandfather often told me stories he saw on TV or heard on the radio. He was the one who aroused my curiosity and love of learning.
When I grew up, I felt and understood the value of money. If you love your parents, you must try harder to earn money to take care of them.
- When participating in charity and community activities, what does H'Hen Nie get in return?
Participating in volunteer activities not only gives me the opportunity to help the community, but also helps me improve myself, making life more positive, meaningful, happier, and more colorful. Traveling a lot, doing a lot, gradually my perspective on life changes, becoming deeper and more multi-dimensional.
- Overcoming many difficulties, H'Hen Niê became Miss. When she was first crowned, besides compliments, she also faced controversies about her appearance. Some people even said she did not have the "Miss standard" beauty. How did she overcome that?
At that time, I felt sad and hurt, especially when there were comments that touched my nation. After that, people advised me to focus on work and not pay attention to "gossip".
For me, when you can't change other people's thoughts and opinions, it's best to focus on doing your own job well.
- Now, are you familiar with and know how to deal with criticism?
The current H'Hen Nie has more courage and experience than before. If those are incorrect comments, I will speak up to answer so that the audience does not misunderstand. If those are comments expressing personal opinions, I respect them because I cannot force everyone to love me. Sometimes there are comments that are a bit harsh but can help me improve, I will take note and make changes.
- Nowadays, there are too many beauty contests, causing the title of Miss to lose its value. What do you think about this?
The core of domestic and international beauty contests is the message and practical values brought to the community. The audience has the right to choose their favorite contest. Therefore, when the organization needs to meet the audience's expectations, the winner must also represent the organization and the contest.
If the contest is organized professionally and properly, the winner is worthy and makes positive contributions to the community and society, I think the title of Miss will not lose its value.
The queen is always close in charity trips.
- How would you answer if you were asked: "Are beauty queens really necessary for society?"
Actually, this depends on each person's perspective and point of view, looking at the issue from a positive or negative perspective. "Are beauty queens really needed for society?", or "What have beauty queens done for society?" are questions that people always ask. Therefore, when crowned and becoming beauty queens, girls must always remind themselves: Have I fulfilled my responsibilities as a beauty queen? And, what will I do to be worthy of that title?
It's been 6 years since I was crowned, so I've passed the stage where I was afraid of blending in with others. However, I will always be myself, not changing the things that the audience appreciates and loves.
Not afraid to love ordinary people
Although H'Hen Niê is comfortable sharing about her work, she is a secretive beauty queen when it comes to her love life. Does she not want to affect her other half or is there another reason?
I always think that love is a personal matter, and when in love, it is inevitable to have feelings of joy, sadness, anger, and resentment. Therefore, keeping quiet about love is also a way for me to control my personal feelings from affecting the audience. I do not want the audience to be caught up in my personal love story. Besides, it is true that I want to keep peace for my partner.
- As a famous beauty queen, perhaps the criteria for you to choose a lover will also be very difficult?
I like a man who knows how to take care of his family and care for those around him. If possible, I hope that he can accompany me in charity and community activities with sincerity, enthusiasm and not afraid of difficulties.
I don't mind loving an ordinary person, just need to feel the soul and warmth is enough.
- Recently there have been many rumors that H'Hen Nie is about to get married?
Love is a personal matter so I don't want to share too much. However, if there is good news, I am ready to announce it to the audience.
- Many people believe: "A woman's success does not lie in status and money, but in a happy home." With H'Hen Nie, do you consider yourself a successful woman?
A happy home is always the destination that every woman desires. I am no exception. After all, no matter how strong we are, there are times when we feel lonely and want someone to share with. Together we build a family, take care of our children and grow old together.
However, the definition of happiness is very broad. I think if we feel satisfied, then we are happy. A happy home is not a measure of a woman's success, because it is not a tool for comparison. Successful people are not necessarily happy, people who are happy with what they have are certainly successful.
At this point, I feel like I've succeeded!
