Vietnam Airlines will reschedule flight VN56 from London to Hanoi due to the impact of the fire at Heathrow airport.

Information on the operation plan will be regularly updated by Vietnam Airlines in the following newsletters. Affected passengers will be supported by the airline according to regulations.

The airline recommends that passengers planning to arrive, depart, or transit at Heathrow Airport during this time regularly monitor and update information on the airline's website and mobile application.

In an announcement on March 21, the UK's largest airport, Heathrow (in London), said that the airport will be temporarily closed due to a power outage.

According to the announcement, a fire broke out at a transformer station supplying electricity to the airport, causing a serious power outage. As a safety precaution, Heathrow will be closed until 23:59 on the same day.

It is expected that about 1,351 flights landing and taking off at Heathrow will be affected, at least 120 flights arriving at Heathrow will have to be diverted, and some American planes will have to turn back midway to return to the airport.

Passengers are advised not to go to the airport and should contact their airline for further information.
