He won first prize in portrait sketching organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Fine Arts Association in 1999. With nearly 30 years of experience in the profession, painter Le Sa Long is a veteran "brushman". He has won many prestigious fine arts awards: second prize in the Drawing contest about the country and people of Romania (2019), first prize in the Watercolor Sketch Portrait contest organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Fine Arts Association (1999), consolation prize in the 2012 Bamboo Dragon Cup organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and received the honorary certificate of Binh Dinh Fine Arts 20 years in 2015.
Le Sa Long is originally from Quy Nhon (Binh Dinh) and was born in Sa Dec (Dong Thap). Because of his passion for painting since childhood, after leaving the army, he studied at the Ho Chi Minh City University of Fine Arts. After graduating, he devoted himself to teaching.
