(CTO) - On the evening of May 11, U22 Vietnam tied U22 Thailand 1-1 in the final match of Group B men's football at the 32nd SEA Games in Cambodia.
Because it was only a formality to determine the top spot, coach Philippe Troussier decided to keep many key players and put many players on the field who were often on the bench. U22 Thailand also kept many key players in good shape.
The two teams started the match slowly, but surprisingly, U22 Vietnam conceded a goal in the 2nd minute. From a strong clearance by a U22 Thai player, Luong Duy Cuong slipped and fell while rushing after the ball. In the second half, U22 Vietnam increased their attack speed. Coach Troussier made a few personnel changes to help the attack play more effectively.

With a 1-1 draw, U22 Vietnam, second in Group B, will meet U22 Indonesia - the winner of Group A - in the semi-finals on May 13. Meanwhile, U22 Thailand will face U22 Myanmar.
