Complete documents, acceptance, and final settlement of the project of dredging the channel into Ky Ha port

The Provincial People's Committee requests the Provincial Economic Zones and Industrial Zones Management Board to implement related documents and procedures according to Government regulations (Decree No. 43 dated March 12, 2018) to advise the Provincial People's Committee to hand over the Ky Ha maritime route to the Ministry of Transport for management.

In addition, coordinate, monitor and guide Truong Hai Group Joint Stock Company (abbreviated as Truong Hai) to supplement and complete the proposal dossier for dredging Ky Ha navigation channel (reaching a depth of minus 9.3m on the nautical chart) in accordance with regulations and advise the Provincial People's Committee to perform the contents and tasks according to its authority.

This decision was made after the Ministry of Transport sent Official Dispatch No. 8526 stating that it would consider and approve the assignment of Truong Hai to carry out dredging of Ky Ha channel in accordance with the legal procedures proposed by the company and the People's Committee of Quang Nam province.

According to the Ministry of Transport, upon completion of the handover and management of the Ky Ha waterway, the Ministry of Transport will consider approving Truong Hai's proposal to dredge this waterway (to a depth of minus 9.3m).

The Ministry of Transport requires Truong Hai to complete the dossier with the following main contents: The necessity and suitability of the project with the planning and socio -economic development plan of the industry and locality; the current status of the waterway. Objectives, scale, and location of the project. Estimated volume of dredging, expected location of dumping of dredged waste. Progress and time of project implementation. Explanation of the plan for organizing management and construction, ensuring maritime traffic safety, environmental sanitation, and preventing environmental pollution.
