Taking place from September 28th to December 15th, the MyTV HSB Basketball Tournament 2024 triples the number of participating teams compared to last year's season, from 8 to 24 teams.
MyTV HSB 2024 sees a surge in participating teams.
In addition to increasing the number of participating teams, the organizers also changed the competition format from a centralized tournament to a home and away format. In Stage 1, except for the four seeded teams that automatically qualified for League A – Nguyen Sieu High School, Tran Phu High School (Hoan Kiem District), Phan Dinh Phung High School, and Viet Duc High School – the remaining 20 teams will compete in a centralized tournament, divided into five groups playing a single round-robin format to select the remaining six teams for League A and ten teams for League B.
In phase 2, teams will compete in home and away matches, giving both home and away teams the opportunity to showcase their strengths, allowing teams to compete in their own learning environment, attracting more spectators and making the competition more engaging.
The total prize pool for the MyTV HSB 2024 basketball tournament is 80 million VND, along with many attractive prizes such as a championship ring for the League A champion; the MyTV HSB 2024 All-stars team will have the opportunity to compete in the 5x5 Hanoi Open Cup 2024 and compete internationally in Malaysia; the best player of the tournament (MVP) will have the chance to receive a 20% scholarship for a Summer Camp in Singapore and Malaysia,...
Women's teams debut in the new MyTV HSB 2024 season.
According to the organizing committee, MyTV HSB 2024 is a potentially attractive sporting event for high school students in Hanoi. The tournament also promotes the development of basketball and aims to discover new talents. Organized on a grand and professional scale, this year's tournament promises to bring many positive effects and spread awareness in the sports movement for high school students nationwide.
The Hanoi Basketball Federation continues to be the professional sponsor of the tournament. Matches in MyTV HSB 2024 will be broadcast live on MyTV Television and simultaneously livestreamed on social media platforms: the MyTV Sports fanpage and the official Highschool Basketball - HSB fanpage.
