Associate Professor, Dr. Vu Viet Vu, Head of the Faculty of Information Technology and Communication, CMC University, said that both Information Technology and Computer Science are important and complementary to each other.
However, the Information Technology industry focuses on applying technology to solve problems, while the Computer Science industry focuses on researching, developing and optimizing technology.
At the same time, the Information Technology industry focuses on applying technology in the management and development of systems, networks and databases to solve practical problems. Meanwhile, the Computer Science program focuses on developing research capacity and algorithmic thinking.
In general, both Information Technology and Computer Science play a key role and have a complementary relationship in the current technological development, creating wide-open job opportunities. Regardless of which major you choose, the important thing is still to make an effort to study, practice continuously and update new technology.
