Bring digital knowledge into daily lessons

In order to improve the quality and fairness of access to education in the spirit of Resolution 71-NQ/TW, for the 2025-2026 school year, Dak Nang Primary and Secondary School (Ia Chim Commune, Quang Ngai Province) integrates and conveys digital knowledge into lessons for students. In addition to closely following the Digital Citizenship Skills Education program, the school also flexibly adjusts the content to suit actual conditions. By integrating digital knowledge into lessons, the school gradually forms the skills and responsibilities of digital citizens for students.

Mr. Hoang Quoc Cuong, Principal of the school, said that the school guides professional groups and teachers to integrate digital content into subjects such as Natural Sciences and Social Sciences, Mathematics, Vietnamese, etc., to arouse interest and help students access knowledge easily and effectively.

With limited digital infrastructure and many difficulties in the lives of local people, access to technology and digital skills remains a big challenge for teachers and students here. However, with a deep understanding of the importance of narrowing the digital gap, especially implementing Resolution 71-NQ/TW, under the guidance of the Board of Directors, teachers in the school are constantly researching, creating, and integrating lessons on digital citizenship into the curriculum in the most natural and vivid way.

Ms. Le Thi Thanh Thuy, a teacher of Natural and Social Sciences, has cleverly "transformed" digital citizenship lessons into familiar, easy-to-understand stories and colorful games. Instead of dry concepts about technology, she helps third graders understand how to use the Internet safely to explore the world around them right from the first lesson about social networks.

Students are guided by her on how to find useful information for studying, entertainment and daily life. At the same time, they learn the simplest "tips" to protect personal information online. Most students are interested in learning and applying it to life.

Or teacher Ho Minh Thiet has integrated digital knowledge into the subject of Information Technology. Ethnic minority students, who are usually shy and quiet, are now confident in presenting on the board, speaking loudly and clearly about what they have learned through vivid images, creating a fun and exciting classroom atmosphere.

Y Thom, a third grade student, excitedly shared: "Thanks to my teacher's guidance, I am always vigilant against bad and toxic websites. I use social networks to learn knowledge and supplement my studies."

Besides the advantages, in reality, teachers still have many concerns in the process of imparting digital knowledge to students.

Ms. Thuy said that most parents do not have smartphones or internet connections, so it is difficult to support and help children practice. Therefore, during the teaching process in class, she takes the opportunity to guide them step by step so that they understand how to use social networks most effectively, to turn digital lessons into practical luggage even when they do not have technology at hand.

For more than 88% of ethnic minority students, teaching and integrating digital technology into lessons is not without many difficulties. Although they do not have technology in hand, ethnic minority students are still interested in listening and applying it. That is also the motivation for teachers to have more enthusiasm to "pass on the fire", helping them, especially ethnic minority students, become responsible digital citizens, know how to study, know how to use technology, and have more solid luggage to enter the increasingly modern world.

To bring Resolution 71 into life, in addition to propagating to the teaching staff, the school principal added that the school plans to establish a digital citizenship skills education club to create a playground and help students practice. In addition, extracurricular activities on digital technology will be organized for students to exchange and learn from each other.

The seeds of digital transformation have been sown from grades 1 to 5. Lessons are gradually helping ethnic minority students develop proactive thinking, critical thinking, and civilized and responsible behavior in the digital environment, preparing them with a solid foundation to confidently integrate into the digital age.
