Phu Tho students return to school 1 week earlier than the opening day

GD&TĐ - On August 21, the People's Committee of Phu Tho province issued Decision No. 2768 on the 2025-2026 school year schedule for preschool education, general education and continuing education.

According to the above decision, the earliest school opening date is 1 week before the opening day. For grades 1, 9, and 12, the earliest school opening date is 2 weeks before the opening day.

The opening ceremony will be held on September 5, 2025. The first semester will end before January 18, 2026; the program will be completed and the school year will end before May 31, 2026. For 12th grade students of junior high and high schools for ethnic minorities and high schools for ethnic minorities, the study period will end 5 days before the high school graduation exam.

Consider recognition of completion of primary school program and recognition of graduation from secondary school before June 30, 2026. Complete enrollment of first grade classes before July 31, 2026.

High school graduation exams (expected to take place on June 11 and 12, 2026) and other national exams are organized according to regulations and instructions of the Ministry of Education and Training .

Along with that, the People's Committee of Phu Tho province requires the principle of building a school year schedule for preschool education , general education and continuing education to ensure 35 weeks of actual study (semester I has 18 weeks; semester II has 17 weeks).

Holidays and Tet holidays are implemented according to the provisions of the Labor Law and annual guidelines. Teachers' annual leave is taken during the summer vacation or can be arranged alternately at other times of the year to suit the specific characteristics and schedule of the school year.

The school year schedule needs to ensure consistency for all levels of education in a residential area, especially in general schools with many levels of education.

The People's Committee of Phu Tho province assigned the Director of the Department of Education and Training to decide whether to let students take time off from school in case of extreme weather or natural disasters and to arrange make-up classes. Ensure teachers' time off during the school year.
