Vietnamese students achieve high results at the 2025 IOAI International Artificial Intelligence Olympiad

The Vietnamese national team competing in the 2025 International Olympiad on Artificial Intelligence (IOAI) in Beijing (China) has achieved excellent results in both individual and team events, including: 3 Gold Medals, 1 Silver Medal, 3 Bronze Medals and 1 Encouragement Prize.

On the evening of August 8, the Ministry of Education and Training announced the official results of the Vietnam National Team competing in the International Olympiad on Artificial Intelligence (IOAI) 2025. Accordingly, the Vietnam National Team achieved excellent results in both individual and team events.

In the individual competition, 100% of Vietnamese students participating won prizes, including: 3 Gold Medals, 1 Silver Medal, 3 Bronze Medals and 1 Encouragement Prize. The specific achievements of the students are as follows:

The Gold Medals were awarded to the following students: Nguyen Viet Trung Nhan , grade 10, High School for the Gifted in Natural Sciences , University of Natural Sciences, Vietnam National University, Hanoi;

Nguyen Huu Tuan , grade 11, High School for the Gifted in Natural Sciences, University of Natural Sciences, Vietnam National University, Hanoi ;

Nguyen Phu Nhan , grade 11, Le Quy Don High School for the Gifted, Da Nang City.

Silver Medal Award: Nguyen Nhat Minh , Grade 10, High School for the Gifted in Natural Sciences, University of Natural Sciences, Vietnam National University, Hanoi.

Bronze medals went to students: Nguyen Khac Trung Kien , grade 12, High School for the Gifted, Hanoi National University of Education;

Bui Dam Quan , grade 12, High School for the Gifted, Hanoi National University of Education;

Hoang Cong Bao Long , Grade 11, Le Quy Don High School for the Gifted, Da Nang City.

The Encouragement Prize belongs to Bui Quang Nguyen , grade 12, High School for the Gifted in Natural Sciences, University of Natural Sciences, Vietnam National University, Hanoi.

In the team competition, Vietnam team 2 including students Nguyen Khac Trung Kien, Hoang Cong Bao Long, Nguyen Phu Nhan and Bui Dam Quan achieved 4th place with 198.4 points, behind the teams of Poland, Russia and Hungary.

Vietnam National Team to Participate in International Olympiad on Artificial Intelligence (IOAI) 2025

With this result, the Vietnam National Team is among the top 4 countries and territories with the highest achievements at IOAI 2025, continuing to affirm the position of Vietnamese education in the international intellectual arena.

The 2025 International Olympiad on Artificial Intelligence (IOAI) will be held in Beijing, China from August 2 to 8, with the official participation of 300 contestants from 78 teams from 60 countries and territories. The Vietnamese national team has 8 students participating.

The Closing and Awards Ceremony will be held at 2:00 p.m. (Beijing time) on August 8.
