Vietnamese students won 8 medals and prizes at the 2025 International Artificial Intelligence Olympiad

TPO - On the evening of August 8, the Ministry of Education and Training announced that the Vietnamese national team competing in the 2025 International Olympiad on Artificial Intelligence (IOAI) in Beijing, China, had achieved excellent results in both individual and team events.

Specifically, in the individual competition format, the Vietnamese national team had 8 students participating in the Competition and all contestants won medals and prizes including: 3 Gold Medals, 1 Silver Medal, 3 Bronze Medals and 1 Encouragement Prize.

Among them, Nguyen Viet Trung Nhan, Grade 10, High School for Gifted Students in Natural Sciences , University of Natural Sciences, Vietnam National University, Hanoi won the Gold Medal.

Nguyen Huu Tuan, Grade 11, High School for Gifted Students in Natural Sciences, University of Natural Sciences, Vietnam National University, Hanoi won the Gold Medal.

Nguyen Phu Nhan, Grade 11, Le Quy Don High School for the Gifted, Da Nang City won the Gold Medal.

Nguyen Nhat Minh, Grade 10, High School for Gifted Students in Natural Sciences, University of Natural Sciences, Vietnam National University, Hanoi won the Silver Medal.

Student Nguyen Khac Trung Kien, Grade 12, High School for Gifted Students, Hanoi National University of Education won the Bronze Medal.

Student Bui Dam Quan, Grade 12, High School for Gifted Students, Hanoi National University of Education won the Bronze Medal.

Student Hoang Cong Bao Long, Grade 11, Le Quy Don High School for the Gifted, Da Nang City won the Bronze Medal.

Student Bui Quang Nguyen, Grade 12, High School for Gifted Students in Natural Sciences, University of Natural Sciences, Vietnam National University, Hanoi won the Encouragement Prize.

In the team competition, the Vietnamese team including students Nguyen Khac Trung Kien, Hoang Cong Bao Long, Nguyen Phu Nhan and Bui Dam Quan achieved 4th place overall with 198.4 points - behind the teams of Poland, Russia and Hungary.

With this result, the Vietnam National Team is ranked in the group of 4 countries and territories with the highest achievements at the IOAI 2025 Competition, continuing to affirm the position of Vietnamese education in the international intellectual arena.

According to the Ministry of Education and Training, the International Olympiad on Artificial Intelligence (IOAI) 2025 was held in Beijing, China from August 2 to 8, with the official participation of 300 contestants from 78 teams from 60 countries and territories.
