LEARNING EXPERIENCES IN SOCIO-ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AT TRONG HUONG MINK FARM, VU LE COMMUNE, LANG SON PROVINCE

Implementing the plan to organize a training class on ethnic knowledge to deploy Content No. 1, Sub-project 2, Project 5 under the National Target Program on socio-economic development of ethnic minority and mountainous areas, from July 15 to 29, the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions of Lang Son organized for 4 classes of students to visit and learn practical experiences in Vu Le commune, Lang Son province.

The delegation, including cadres, civil servants, and public employees working in ethnic affairs at provincial and commune-level agencies, Party cell secretaries, village and block heads in ethnic minority areas, organized a tour to learn from experiences at Trong Huong mink farm, Vu Le commune, Lang Son province.

Trong Huong mink farm is known as one of the large-scale, highly effective commercial mink and civet farming models in Lang Son province. With a reasonable barn area, scientific breeding process and focus on disease prevention, this model has achieved stable productivity and quality, and products are well consumed in the market inside and outside the province. In addition to economic value, the model also contributes to creating jobs for local workers, promoting rural economic development.

At the working session, the working delegation was introduced in detail by the farm owner about:

- Process of selecting, caring, raising and managing mink herds.

- Experience in building hygienic cages suitable for the biological habits of mink.

- Effective measures to prevent and treat epidemics.

- Marketing strategy, branding and product consumption connection.

In addition, the delegation also visited the mink breeding and development areas.

Many members of the delegation highly appreciated the model’s ability to combine agricultural production and experiential tourism development. Visitors coming here not only learn about the process of raising civets but also experience activities related to rural life, contributing to promoting the image and typical products of the locality.

Through the practical training trip, the members of the delegation acquired a lot of valuable knowledge, skills and experiences, which can be creatively applied to the production conditions in their locality. This is an opportunity for the trainees to exchange and broaden their vision, gradually forming large-scale, high-quality commodity production models to meet market demand, contributing to improving people's income and life.
