Academy of Journalism and Communication organizes admission and career counseling day AJC OPEN DAY 2023

The event was attended by Associate Professor Dr. Pham Minh Son - Director of the Academy; Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Thi Truong Giang - Deputy Director of the Academy; leaders of units under the Academy; representatives of employers, sponsors, press and media agencies, and a large number of staff, lecturers, students, parents and pupils of high schools in Hanoi in particular and the whole country in general.

The purpose of “AJC OPEN DAY 2023” is to widely communicate and promote the role, mission, position, vision and 61-year tradition of the Academy's construction and development and advise candidates on choosing a career that suits their abilities and aspirations; provide information on job opportunities, recruitment processes and conditions of employers.

The program of “AJC OPEN DAY 2023” takes place with some main contents:

1. Students and parents have the opportunity to attend 2 seminars with useful information for future career orientation. The first seminar has the theme "Career stories" : with the participation of a number of Academy leaders, journalists, and famous media people. Participants will be provided with detailed information about the training majors and learning environment at the Academy of Journalism and Communication, the necessary and sufficient factors to meet the practical career requirements for students after studying at the Academy. The second seminar has the theme "AJC and the door to the future": Officers and lecturers in the Academy will answer all necessary questions related to specific majors, to help students and parents choose the most suitable major. 2. The event space has 3 main areas: Training unit area; business and employer area; club area. In the training unit area: 16 Faculties and Institutes under the two blocks of Political Theory and Journalism - Communication will advise parents and students on the specific programs of each major and major currently being trained at the Academy. The Training Management Board will guide and answer questions related to application procedures, tuition fees, admission criteria, etc.; The International Cooperation Board will provide specific information on the International Bachelor's Program in Advertising, PR and Branding licensed by Middlesex University (UK) to the Academy of Journalism and Communication in Vietnam. In the business and employer area: Students and parents will be introduced by employers and journalists about jobs, necessary and sufficient conditions to be recruited into agencies and businesses nationwide, after graduating from the Academy of Journalism and Communication. At the club area: Attendees will be able to visit and experience the Academy's learning environment, take photos at prominent locations on campus (large hall, lecture hall, dormitory, studio, etc.); interact with typical student clubs and teams through the "AJC Tour and Check in AJC" activities. Associate Professor, Dr. Pham Minh Son - Director of the Academy shared: "The AJC Open Day 2023 admissions and career counseling festival aims to provide, advise, and share useful and practical information for students to better understand and choose the right major. This is also an opportunity to establish and strengthen cooperative relationships between the Academy and media partners, agencies, and employers, in order to improve the quality and efficiency of training, providing increasingly high-quality human resources for society".
