Diplomatic Academy organizes scientific seminar for students on International Law

On December 15, the Faculty of International Law, Diplomatic Academy organized the third Scientific Conference for students on International Law with the theme "Artificial Intelligence (AI) and legal challenges".

The workshop was attended by many lecturers, intellectual property and international law experts from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Diplomatic Academy, Hanoi Law University, and many students from universities.

The third Scientific Conference for Students on International Law is an annual activity of the Faculty of International Law, with the desire to create opportunities for students to participate more in scientific research activities and improve their ability to research modern international legal issues.

In his opening speech, Mr. Tran Huu Duy Minh, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of International Law (Diplomatic Academy) expressed his deep gratitude to the experts, advisors from units outside the Diplomatic Academy and the sponsors, as well as the media sponsors. Mr. Tran Huu Duy Minh emphasized that the Conference is not only an academic playground, but also an important foundation for developing the research tradition of the Faculty of International Law.

The conference consisted of two main sessions: “AI and intellectual property” and “AI and legal issues”. Ten presentations covered topics such as copyright, industrial property rights, deepfakes, the right to be forgotten from the perspective of Vietnamese and international law, as well as focusing on AI in intellectual property law and legal challenges.

The review board highly appreciated the quality of the articles, the serious investment and creative approach of the contestant groups, and provided specific comments and directions, helping to improve the content, structure and research methods, enhancing academic value and practical applicability.

Questions and comments from the panel and audience not only helped the candidates improve their arguments but also created opportunities for learning and networking among students. From 108 research papers, the Conference successfully published 20 excellent papers that were carefully selected and reviewed.

The workshop ended in an exciting atmosphere, marking a successful event, opening up opportunities to develop the research tradition of the Faculty of International Law, aiming to publish quality research in scientific journals, contributing to building the academic reputation of the Diplomatic Academy.

In the future, the Faculty of International Law, Diplomatic Academy will strive to promote the achieved values and strengthen the quality of the Conference with the desire to bring a positive and vibrant intellectual space, where students can experience, learn and develop scientific research activities.
