The "Green March" program, part of the 2023 summer volunteer activities, was implemented by the youth of the Military Medical Academy with four main activities: "Lighting up rural roads," "Youth tree planting," "Helping children go to school," and giving gifts to families of war invalids and martyrs. This activity aimed to commemorate the 76th anniversary of the Day of War Invalids and Martyrs (July 27, 1947/ July 27, 2023).

As part of the program, a delegation from the Military Medical Academy, led by Colonel Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Van Nam, Deputy Political Commissar of the Military Medical Academy, along with members of the Youth Union representing the Academy's young people, offered incense at the memorial monument for the heroic martyrs of Cao Duong commune.

Speaking at the handover ceremony of the youth project, Colonel Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Van Nam expressed: “After nearly a month of urgent construction, ensuring the project was completed on schedule and to the required quality standards, the youth project has now been transformed and completed, bringing joy to the unit and the people of Cao Duong commune. The youth project, with its 25 high-pressure sodium lamps powered by solar energy, will gradually improve the appearance of the rural area, making a significant contribution to the local new rural development efforts.”

Continuing the "Lighting Up Rural Roads" program, 25 Terminalia catappa trees were planted by officers and students of the Military Medical Academy at the primary and secondary schools and the Cultural Center of Cao Duong commune under the theme "Youth Tree Row". In addition, 10 bicycles were also given to 10 underprivileged but academically excellent students with the hope of "Helping them get to school".

As part of the "Green March" program, the delegation visited, encouraged, and presented 10 gifts to 10 families receiving preferential treatment in Cao Duong commune, Luong Son district, Hoa Binh province. The total value of these activities was nearly 100 million VND.

Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Anh Tuan, Head of the Youth Department, Political Department of the Military Medical Academy, affirmed: “The volunteer activities of the “Green March” program in Cao Duong commune contribute to strengthening the bond between the military and the people; affirming the good traditional relationship between the Academy and the local government and people.”  

The delegation presented 10 gift packages to 10 families entitled to preferential policies in Cao Duong commune, Luong Son district, Hoa Binh province.
Ten underprivileged but academically gifted students were presented with 10 bicycles.
