According to the signed agreement, from May 2025, Galaxy International Sports Academy (GISA) will take on the role of training, developing and providing human resources including young athletes, coaches and sports experts for the Nha Trang Dolphins basketball team. With a systematic training system according to international standards, GISA is committed to bringing the next generation of players with the potential to compete professionally and contributing to promoting the sustainable development of the team.
In the opposite direction, Nha Trang Dolphins Club will create conditions for GISA students and coaches to access the professional basketball environment through exchange programs, training, internships and especially the opportunity to compete in the Vietnam Professional Basketball League (VBA). This will be an important stepping stone for young talents to quickly adapt and develop comprehensively in the top basketball environment.
Speaking about the cooperation, Nha Trang Dolphins representative - Mr. Nguyen Hoai Nam shared: “This is an important cooperation for both sides. We wish to develop the team with a long-term strategic vision, in which developing home-grown players is very important. With VBA, it is necessary to maintain and develop the Vietnamese sports force, not only competing domestically but also competing in tournaments such as SEA Games, ASIAN Games ... With a systematic training system updated with the latest advances from Galaxy Academy, we will have a promising source of human resources for the Nha Trang Dolphins team.”
Meanwhile, Galaxy Academy General Director Vo Quang Huy affirmed: “This is a big step forward for Galaxy International Sports Academy, the academy receives professional guidance from the VBA basketball team. The strategic cooperation between the two sides will give all students of the Academy the opportunity to practice and compete in a professional basketball environment. At the same time, Galaxy Sports Academy will participate in training young athletes for Nha Trang Dolphins club to increase the number and quality of players.”
The signing ceremony between Nha Trang Dolphins Basketball Club and Galaxy International Sports Academy marks a new step forward in the training and competition cooperation between professional sports units and well-trained training academies in Vietnam, contributing to raising the position of Vietnamese basketball on the regional map.
