On October 25, at the Provincial Labor Culture House (22 Pham Van Dong, Nha Trang City), the Department of Culture and Sports in collaboration with the Department of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs organized the 2024 Songs from the Heart Festival for the disabled in the province. More than 40 singing - dancing - music - drama performances participating in the festival are proof of the great aspirations of nearly 200 contestants who have overcome their own pain to bring joy to everyone.

Singing overcomes adversity

Each contestant attending the festival carries their own pain, but when they step onto the stage, they all express themselves in every song, dance, and musical note to send to the audience. With each performance, the audience understands more and more the determination and great love for art of each contestant. There, the audience was impressed with contestant Bui Ngoc Thinh (Ninh Hoa town Blind Association) with his solo performance of musical instruments: Dan Bau, Dan Nguyet, Dan Nhi, and bamboo flute in the song "Tieng Chua Tren Soc Bom Bo" . Watching the contestants perform on stage, it seems that everyone is moved. Some have eyes deep in the endless darkness; some have damaged legs and arms; some cannot hear or speak... but overcoming their adversities, they still love life and still desire to bring good things to life. And art is the way to help them communicate and share their talents and love with the people around them. "This is the first time I have participated in the Singing from the Heart Festival, so I feel nervous and worried. However, when I stood on stage to sing the song Tam Ben Nha Rong to everyone, I tried my best to express my emotions, because for me, the song is like a thread connecting everyone", contestant Le Thi Thu Huong (Ninh Hoa Town Blind Association) said.
