The Central Theoretical Council organized a training conference on culture and arts in Ho Chi Minh City.

More than 100 delegates attended the training, including leaders of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Departments of provinces and cities; officials working in the direction, management, and consulting on culture and arts; leaders of literary and art associations... in the Southern region. Attending the conference, the An Giang delegation consisted of 10 delegates, led by the Deputy Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the An Giang Provincial Party Committee, Nguyen Thi Hong Loan.

Speaking at the opening of the conference, Associate Professor, Doctor, Writer Nguyen The Ky, former member of the Party Central Committee, Vice Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council, emphasized the importance of looking back at the 40-year journey of innovation in the field of culture and arts.

He affirmed that this is not only an opportunity to summarize and evaluate the achievements, but also an opportunity to frankly acknowledge the limitations and shortcomings, especially in the context of rapid changes in the digital age and international integration.

From September 19 to 22, delegates will be trained on the following topics: Vietnamese literature and art after 40 years of renovation and development orientation in the new era; innovation in leadership thinking and management of literature and art in the era of integration and technology; innovation in literary and art institutions and development strategies, training and fostering a team of literary and art theorists and critics to prepare for the new era; Vietnamese fine arts from the renovation period to the present (1986 - 2025); the image of Ho Chi Minh in Vietnamese literature from 1975 to the present; Vietnamese traditional theater - opportunities and challenges.

At the end of the training course, trainees will write a report related to the topics that have been taught, relating to practical situations at their work unit.
