Customs - Business Dialogue Conference 2025

On the afternoon of April 15, the Customs Branch of Region VI organized a Customs - Enterprise (DN) dialogue conference in 2025. Attending were Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Xuan Anh; leaders of a number of provincial departments, branches and sectors; representatives of 60 enterprises regularly operating in the province. Comrade Nguyen Van Hoan, Head of the Customs Branch of Region VI chaired.

In the first quarter, the total import-export turnover of all types of goods through the management area of the Sub-Department reached 18.2 billion USD. Of which, Lang Son province reached 18 billion USD, Cao Bang province reached 229.4 million USD. Particularly, the turnover of goods declared at the Sub-Department reached 1,242.2 million USD (Cao Bang province reached 175.6 million USD; Lang Son province reached 1,066.6 million USD); of which, import turnover reached 947.9 million USD; export turnover reached 294.3 million USD.

Revenue from import-export activities reached VND 2,605.2 billion, equal to 36.48% of the legal target, equal to 27% of the target, up 57% over the same period in 2024. Of which, Cao Bang province collected VND 576.6 billion, equal to 83.5% of the legal target, equal to 48.05% of the target, up 133% over the same period; Lang Son province collected VND 2,028.6 billion, equal to 31.45% of the legal target, equal to 24% of the target, up 44% over the same period.

The Department has stepped up the fight against smuggling, illegal transportation of goods, drugs and trade fraud; detected, arrested and handled 507 cases, worth 4.9 billion VND. Strengthened post-clearance inspection, focused on researching and selecting key goods and key enterprises with high risks and fraud risks leading to loss of state budget revenue. The work of simplifying and automating customs procedures and facilitating trade has been given attention; well implemented the work of developing Customs - Enterprise partnerships; guided enterprises to comply with customs laws, resolved problems and created maximum convenience in import and export activities.

At the conference, representatives of enterprises highly appreciated the administrative procedure reform, the working attitude and spirit of the staff, civil servants, public employees and employees of the customs agencies, which have created favorable conditions and saved maximum time and costs for enterprises. Proposals and recommendations were made to remove some difficulties arising in the process of declaring information on import and export goods on the digital border gate platform; there should be unification in the collection of infrastructure fees for imported vehicles in the two provinces; the authorities discussed with the Chinese side to maintain procedures on Saturdays and Sundays so that goods can be cleared early and not be congested...

Speaking at the conference, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Xuan Anh acknowledged the contributions of enterprises to the socio -economic development of the province. He requested that the competent authorities continue to synthesize the opinions of enterprises, issues under the authority of the province will be resolved as soon as possible, issues under the authority of higher levels will be synthesized and sent to competent authorities for consideration and resolution. In the spirit of reform, "Accompanying enterprises", "Taking enterprises as the center, both the goal and the driving force", the Customs Branch of Region VI and competent authorities continue to have solutions to improve the level of effectiveness and efficiency in the management, inspection and supervision of import and export goods; improve customs clearance capacity, promptly resolve arising problems, create favorable conditions, open customs environment, in order to attract new enterprises to participate in import and export, immigration activities in the area.

The leaders of the Customs Branch of Region VI acknowledged that the suggestions and recommendations of enterprises are very appropriate and necessary. They affirmed that the Branch will continue to accompany enterprises to promote the development of import and export trade; build practical and practical import and export policies and mechanisms to carry out customs clearance of import and export goods quickly and conveniently, reduce costs for enterprises, and contribute to promoting the socio-economic development of the locality.
