On the morning of August 1, in Cao Bang province , the emulation cluster of 7 northern mountainous border provinces (including the provinces: Lao Cai, Cao Bang, Lai Chau, Ha Giang , Son La, Dien Bien, Lang Son) held a conference to review the implementation of the emulation covenant in the first 6 months of the year, and deploy tasks for the last 6 months of 2024. Attending the conference were comrade Ha Thi Nga, President of the Vietnam Women's Union, member of the Central Emulation and Reward Council. Representatives of the leaders of the provinces in the emulation cluster. Comrade Trinh Xuan Truong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Lao Cai province, Head of the emulation cluster and comrade Hoang Xuan Anh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Cao Bang province, Deputy Head of the emulation cluster co-chaired the conference.

In the first 6 months of the year, the provinces in the Emulation Cluster have launched many exciting emulation movements in all areas of socio-economic life, closely following the requirements of the political tasks of each province with many rich, practical and effective forms. The socio-economic picture of the provinces has been maintained stably and achieved important results, with many bright spots. Some provinces have achieved economic and social targets among the top in the country, such as: Lao Cai province's disbursement rate of public investment capital plan in the year reached over 2,500 billion VND, ranking 3rd out of 63 provinces and cities. Dien Bien province has the highest GRDP growth rate among 8 provinces in the expanded Northwest region, ranking 3rd out of 14 provinces in the Northern midlands and mountainous region, ranking 10th out of 63 provinces and cities nationwide; The economic growth rate (GRDP) of the provinces in the emulation cluster basically reached and exceeded the plan: Dien Bien province increased by 8.7%, Ha Giang province reached 5.6%; Lao Cai province reached 5.6%; Lai Chau province reached 5.5%; Cao Bang province reached 4.5%. Administrative reform work achieved many impressive results, ranking high in the country, such as: Lao Cai, Son La, Dien Bien, Lang Son. The whole cluster had 138 collectives and individuals being commended at the State level, the rate of commendation for small collectives and direct workers accounted for 68.8%; commendation at the provincial level was given to 6,966 collectives, individuals and households, of which the rate of commendation for small collectives and direct workers accounted for 61.9%.

At the Conference, representatives of the provinces in the Emulation Cluster discussed and exchanged experiences in leadership and direction of emulation and reward work, introduced typical advanced examples, new models, good, creative and effective practices in patriotic emulation movements.
Recognizing and appreciating the results achieved in the past time, Comrade Ha Thi Nga, President of the Vietnam Women's Union, Member of the Central Emulation and Reward Council, requested the provinces in the Emulation Cluster to strengthen leadership, direction, and effectively implement the Party's guidelines, policies, and laws of the State on emulation and rewards. Focus on implementing the Project "Propaganda of typical advanced examples" to create a spread. Continue to promote and innovate emulation movements in a practical and effective direction, closely following the assigned political tasks. Effectively implement emulation movements launched by the Prime Minister, focusing on implementing the emulation movement "Join hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses nationwide in 2025"; Innovate the activities of regular and specialized emulation movements in various fields, improve the quality of rewards, pay attention to rewarding small collectives, direct workers, collectives and individuals at the grassroots level, remote areas, border areas, ethnic minority areas... strive to successfully implement the goals, targets and tasks of 2024 and the 5-year plan for the period (2021 - 2025)./.
